I'm trying to work out a tuning for The Scientist (electric part.) Is it the same as the tuning for GPASUYF (dropped A I think, it seems different at different gigs)?

I read somewhere that it is in fact an outfitted keyboard. Is that true? After listening to Fix You live it sounds that same as the album, an organ or something.

Ok, time for the latest in my parade of Coldplay equipment questions...:rolleyes: What type of Strings does Jon Use? He seems to prefer lighter strings from what I can tell, but in all the online gear listings, I can't seem to find any info on the strings he uses.

Hi, my band and I are working on some Coldplay covers for an upcoming gig, and I could use a bit of feedback. I am considering playing Warning sign on my 12 string, I really dig the sound but it's a bit strange and I am not sure if other people will dig it as much as I do. What do you guys think? (I realize it's a bit foolish to ask without posting a clip of me playing the song, but my webcam decided to crap out today:embarassed:, if I can get it working, I will post it) Just asking for some opinions...

Im sure you can figure out why money is no object. Basically I want to make an EP of ideas and stuff ive thrown together over the last few years. I have no experience with sycronising music, and i dont play any instruments. I need software that allows me to create my own songs with guitars, strings, syncs, drum machines and piano. And hopefully easy to use... i have windows xp cheers

Does anybody know how to play that riff that Jonny plays at the end of Clocks during a live performance when they do the countdown and increase the tempo? For example: @ 4:45 - 5:56. I would really like to know how to play that riff. Does anyone have the tabs?

Anyone with good ears and a scorewriter program wanna take a shot at this? With all the quality sheets for rare songs like a ghost that have been made and passed around recently, harmless is one of the few songs that lacks decent sheet music. Fooling around myself it sounds like two of the chords are G and F, and the descending pattern in the chorus seems like it might be the octaved notes e,d, f#, a(probably dead wrong)...the song is really very simple, I just lack the ear training and ability to figure it out myself. So if anyone could give me the main chords (much less a full sheet) for the song, that'd be great.

What Song's does Johnny use the TR2 for? It seems to be absent from photos I've seen of his pedal board circa 2005 onward. Yet it sounds like he still uses some kind of tremolo on songs played since then...:\

Just wondering what Grades are people currently on and how do they find there current grade? I am hoping to start soon. I hope to have a Grade 6 in the next 2 or 3 years, however i imagine that's just wishful thinking? I've been playing for the last year and a half or so but im self taught and have never had any lessons. I'm thinking about taking up lessons next year.

My mum told me that she wants to buy me a piano because we only have an electric and my piano studies are getting pretty damn serious so she wants to buy me a real piano. We decided on an upright cus a Grand won't fit in our house so.... How much do new uprights usually cost and how much do second hand uprights usually cost? Thanks in advance...

Does anyone have an idea what Jonny Plays during 3:14-4:06 of this video It is different to the studio/album version of the song, there seems to be a heavy delay. Yet it isnt played the same as the recorded version. Tabs would be good!;)

I am really interested in learning some music like they used to play in saloons. I've heard it was ragtime and then player piano, but regardless I really want to learn some. I know Scott Joplin is really good, but the stuff I'm looking for is like the part in Army by Ben Folds where he starts jamming. All of this aside, does anyone know anything like Scott Joplin type music that is somewhat challenging, remember I'm no prodigy. Thanks!
