Chapter one Terrorism is not an Islamic or Arabic invention or Palestinian innovation. It is a unique instrument in the political turmoil in modern times. At first, terrorism was known as an expression and practiced two centuries ago. While the organized and unorganized wars are sold as human kind, terrorism did not crystallize actually until 1773. It was during the "Reign of Terror" in France in the 1790's when the English and French termed the word terrorism. During the French Revolution, Robespierre and St. Just practiced political violence on a large scale. Out of 27 million Frenchmen, 90,000 were beheaded and 300,000 were jailed. Political violence …

The protesters are ignoring threats of prosecution for criminal damage in their anger at having their rubbish secretly monitored by council chiefs. Mother fined for swearing at neighbourhood yobs A mother was fined and could even face jail after swearing at yobs who terrorised her neighbourhood. Donna Appleyard finally snapped after two years of misery in which youths jumped over fences, trampled through gardens and shouted and swore at local residents. Ms Appleyard, 32, a mother-of-two, claims she made countless complaints to police about the gang outside her home in Coniston Place, Knottingley, West Yorks. Things finally came to a head on March 30 when she lost her temper and swore at her abusers. "I was at the end of my tether and I admit I swore at one of them. Watch the launch http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/3681938.stm Nasa officials scrutinising footage of space shuttle Atlantis' launch say some debris did hit the orbiter, but that there was no visible damage. "Not only am I not alarmed, I'm really at ease after looking through this video," Nasa's Wayne Hale said. "We are looking at nits - nothing of any remote consequence," he said. Saturday's launch was just the third shuttle mission since the orbiter Columbia broke up on re-entry after being damaged by launch debris in 2003. As part of new procedures following the Columbia tragedy, in which all seven astronauts on board died, Nasa now restricts launches to daylight …

The shadow higher education minister made the controversial comments in his Daily Telegraph column yesterday while revelling over the Labour Party leadership ruction. He wrote in the newspaper: "For 10 years we in the Tory Party have become used to Papua New Guinea-style orgies of cannibalism and chief-killing, and so it is with a happy amazement that we watch as the madness engulfs the Labour Party." michael cutler June 01, 2006 1 million sex crimes by illegals Filed under: Borders — border @ 9:39 am I am utterly unable to understand how so many of our nation’s ”leaders” can be so unwilling to protect the citizens of our country. The immigration bill that was signed by the Senate last week is described as a compromise. The only reason that anyone who possesses even a modicum of intelligence or integrity might call that bill a compromise is because it compromises the sovereignty and security of our nation and our citizens. I have written many times about how a failure to secure our borders and restore integrity to our nation’s immigration system leaves America…

Outcry over puppies dumped in bin Once the puppies are well enough they will be rehomed The dumping of eight puppies in a bin is being described by a council as "the worst case of neglect seen for years". The young border collies were found abandoned in bins at the Cumberland House tower block in Portsmouth. "We can't think of a more distressing case we've had to deal with," said Carol Plumbly, council kennel worker. Three of the litter have died since they were found on Sunday and the other five-week-olds were suffering from worm infestations and malnourishment. 'Shocking' The dogs are being cared for at the Portsmouth City Council kennels and new …
