Brits are fatter and lonelier than in the 1970s (but we live longer and take more foreign holidays) By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 9:53 AM on 3rd July 2010 Comments (19) Add to My Stories The Bridget Jones' generation: More people are living on their own than in the Seventies Derided for its flared trousers and notorious for union militancy, the Seventies is often written off as a best-forgotten decade. But an official study of the way Britain has changed in the past four decades has revealed that the period actually had a lot going for it. For while it is true that today we are richer, live longer and are able to enjoy t…

Much-praised 3D film is homophobic, demeans women and is misleading to children, say feminists By Rachel Shields and Susie Mesure It has won rave reviews and topped the US box office, but the computer-animated film Toy Story 3 has not impressed everyone. Feminists are complaining that the 3D family film is sexist, citing the prevalence of male characters – a ratio of seven males to one female – and negative depictions of women in the film: from Andy's "nagging" mother to the "hyper-feminine" and "overly emotional" Barbie. The long-standing US feminist magazine Ms has accused the film of "careless sexism", with the writer Natalie Wilson arguing that the film may…

Scanned through but didn't see an answer to this question: I really enjoy the pictures posted in the various forums but about 1/3 of the time for me the pictures don't show up. I get the little box with a red "x" in it. I've tried pasting to another application, etc. but still can't see the pic. Other photos show up just fine. Do I need to set something? Thank you for any help anyone can give.

Yeah, so I dropped my iPod in water. I don't think any got in the part where it connects to things because it went in top first and down like that and then I got it. I don't think it was locked before but it's locked now and it won't come unlocked for anything. I plugged it in to my computer and it will charge and stuff but nothing else can ever happen. (And by lock I mean hold, that thing you can toggle at the top) Lulz, I either lightened or darkened some of the pixels of the screen too, but I don't care about that. If it makes a difference, it's a 2nd generation nano. Am I screwed? :bigcry:
