Have any of you ever actually built a computer from scratch? If you have is it really hard for a person who doesn't know an awful lot about computers to build one? I really want to start saving up money to build my very own computer because I've heard you can save a lot of money and you can customize your computer very easily. I've been using the same Dell Dimension 3000 for seven years now! It's ancient in the electronic world but it still runs great. Any advice for me would be wonderful. I want to make a super fast computer for gaming, mainly just the Sims 3 :) and other old simulation games I love to play. I have music software I would put on the computer as …

Well, since there's an UK election thread. :p Let me explain the current situation: These elections are VERY important for my country. And for the first time in a long time (from what I can remember) it seems likely that there will be a runoff between the two biggest candidates. So far in the polls, they're tied. Everyone is so excited, specially the young people who were never really interested in politics and have reciently been attracted by the green party candidate, for his fresh ideas and proposals. Most Colombians know how the actual president (8 years) has helped the country to overcome violence, but he and his goverment have been involved in so many scandals…

  11. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=10855313 This is pure shit. He was on mexican side and he wasn't trying to cross. Apparently there were other immigrants and when they saw Border Patrol trying to get them this 15 years old dude threw rocks at them (US BP) so one of them shots him in the head. Then they tried to manipulate the evidence by grabbing his shoes to put footprints on american side but then mexican police arrived so they left... And I say, what if the case would have been the opposite? American government would force to make justice, as it should. And is it excusable for an adult to use a gun to repeal the agression of a boy who just throws rocks, while he…

  14. Okay, so being the genius I am I tried to send an email with 71 songs attached to it because I thought it would be faster then just going one by one. Let it be noted in case it makes a difference that my computer has windows 2000 and 3.07 gb free out of 8.01 gb of space, which makes me even more of a genius. So basically what happened is it froze my computer trying to send and then it timed out so I know it can't possibly be sent and I'll have to end up doing the songs one by one. Now in order to do that I have to get this email with 71 songs attached to it out of my outbox, which I can't do because it's frozen and won't do anything and also I don't think you can delete t…

I don't want to have my Ipod erased with autosync because I'd lose a couple thousand songs. Any suggestions?

  18. Hey All. I was with my ipod today (as you do) and i was in the Farmers Market working and i spilt as lot of water on my apron (with my iTouch in my pocket). About 10 mins after, I took out my iPod (with the screen turned off) and turned the screen on only to find it had gone very pale and bright, I was like CRAPP!! Then, after 5 mins of not doing anything, the screen began to flicker with white lines, and eventually went completely white. Now, I know its not the white screen of death, because I can turn the screen on and off, but I sometimes can't tell. Every hour and a half or so, the screen shows up (but in the very pale state I mentioned earlier) and it's…
