I've seen it twice and I cried like a baby once again. The Japanese storyline was so touching, especially the Chieko's performance. It must be way too difficult to play a role like that and to make it credible at the same time. All the scenes were brilliant but if I had to point out one, I would choose the one in which Chieko is with the detective and in a sudden "turns up" nude in front of him.

it is weird but the more you watch it the more the plot comes together. I think thats an amazing movie. I rate the dark knight 10/10. amazing movie...and on imax 11/10 lol

The first half hour is incredible and easily the best and bravest thing that Pixar has ever done. Then it gradually deteriorates into cliche.

 

8.5/10 overall.

Maybe pixar one day will create one of these movie and stay dark and inventive throughout, like a movie for adults strickly and forget about entertaining 5 year olds.

Watched it on tv last night - probably the first time I saw it since it's release in 1994.

I thought it was a little too weird! Like, it was great dont get me wrong, but i dunno, something didnt click. It got really just out there... and i dunno, if their aiming toward kids, like the message is good, but are they really gonna get it? They might go home and wanna become fat like those fat people, you know what i mean?

 

There was NOO dialogue, all we heard was 'EVAAAAA' 'EEeeeEEVAAA'..... I think, thats what was the most frustrating, its just that i expected it to be like monsters or something, where they like have their own little world, and they talk and stuff... but there was none of that, if i knew there wasnt, than maybe my perspective would be diff!

if you liked knocked up or superbad, you'll love this movie. it's the most random plot line, but you just keep laughing, and laughing, cause the cast is so amazing.
