this movie was based off of the book. it sucked. The book is great, but the movie was nothing like it, jonny depp was mediocre. Stick to the book, or Willy wonka and the Chocolate factory

I won't rate it, not in the mood for numbers. The whole movie is like a big summer pudding or a fancy cake... But I liked it anyway because, first of all, it's really Sofia Coppola-like, second, I kinda like Kirsten Dunst so yep. It's not better than Virgin-Suicides or Lost in Translation (because there's no better ha) of course, but it's original, interesting and has an amazing soundtrack. Miss Coppola always has the best music in her movies, that's for sure.

I found Marie Antionette boring for the most part. I don't know...it's just that it went slow throughout the movie...I wanted to see more of a plot. I know it's not supposed to be this huge biopic or anything, that it is to show her days as a young queen, but come on! Nothing really happened.

^^i completly understand your opinion! i guess that in all coppola movies you end up with that feeling...but i liked this movie because i was expecting it to be slow in the coppola way and besides i like history so to me the movie was interesting...but not because it has a lot of action of course

I liked it because it's an inside look at MA's life. It's colorful, silly, fun...

But it was just that... when the movie ended I was like 'that was it???'

It's a movie from Thailand I think... My friend and I watched it at another friends house who had told us to come over and watch. Quite a beautiful movie, actually.
