Just finished On Chesil Beach, and I've accepted Ian McEwan as one of my favourite writers after reading only two of his novels (Amsterdam was the other one).

I really like Khaled Hosseini, A Thousand Splendid Suns is one of the most wonderful books I have ever read!

Just finished On Chesil Beach, and I've accepted Ian McEwan as one of my favourite writers after reading only two of his novels (Amsterdam was the other one).

Started 'Time's Arrow' by Martin Amis, not light reading at all

 

Maiu, Atonement, by Ian McEwan, is extremely beautiful.

 

Currently re-reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger...and I'm always reading The Catcher in the Rye.

Auschwitz : The Nazis & The 'Final Solution' by Laurence Rees

 

It's a harrowing read

apart from my books about the American Civil War... i continue reading Les Miserables.

now I am reading "Children of Hurin", can't wait to see the hobbit movie directed by Guillermo del Toro!

My college has this

thing called "Take a book, leave a book"

where there's a bunch of full bookshelves in random spots on campus.

You can take anything you want from them

and also leave books for others to read.

 

You can always find

something good when

you don't need to add

another book to the list.

 

I feel bad as I rarely leave anything...have a

hard time parting with

any of my books unless they're really horrible!

I still haven't finished reading The Colour of Magic (Discworld novels book 1) by Terry Pratchett. It has been almost 2 months since I started reading it. :D

I need good ideas too... And I also like these books that have good messages... I mean, I like books that can change me or make me think about life and etc.
