February 21, 200917 yr ok, right now I'm listening to Lali Puna "Faking the Books"! It's rare that I read just one book at a time but I always take just one with me in my metrò daily bag and today I choose Raymond Carver "Ultramarine" because I'm living an inspired Kind of Blue day! Valentina
February 22, 200917 yr Animal Farm. It's taking me longer than I thought I would. My attention span has really taken a hit...
February 22, 200917 yr still working my way through re-reading Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. Have just finished the fourth "Industrial Magic". Am contemplating whether to move on to "Haunted" or whether to take a break and pick up the second of Rebecca Jane Collins "Pemberley Chronicles"
February 22, 200917 yr today I bought "The audacity of hope">Barack Obama, I know it's hard, but one day maybe even Italy will see the change!:)
February 25, 200917 yr For school I'll need to read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, My Antonia (the only one I started- I like it!) and Catcher in the Rye. On my own, I've been reading The Immortals quartet by Tamora Pierce. I really love fantasy, so I think I'll read either The Neverending Story by Michael Ende or A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. LeGuin next =D
February 26, 200917 yr "From Dead to Worse" by Charlaine Harris. It's one of the books in the Sookie Stackhouse series (the series that HBO's "True Blood" is based off of). They're quick, guilty-pleasure-type reads.
February 26, 200917 yr "Guns, Germs and Steel" a big, fat, Pulitzer Prize-winning history book. Not a guilty pleasure at all :P
February 27, 200917 yr ^Oh, I've read that. It is big and fat. It's interesting enough, I guess. Right now I'm reading a suffocatingly old copy of Dante's Inferno. Christ, it's hard to read. :dizzy:
February 27, 200917 yr Just finished one I picked up cheaply in the supermarket on Tues. Its Stray by Rachel Vincent. Its her first novel in a series about Werecats. It had a recommendation by Kelley Armstrong on the cover which is why I picked it up to look further. Wasn't a bad effort. It felt quite similar to Kelley Armstrong's Bitten to start with but soon took on its own voice.
February 28, 200917 yr Just finished The Great Gatsby Starting The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy next...
March 4, 200917 yr Ray bradbury-fahrenheit 451 i made a list of must-read books, started with this one. Next on the list is Franz Kafka-The Metamorphosis
March 8, 200917 yr Nicole Krauss - "The History Of Love" uber cheesy title, but it's been an amazing book so far! Everyone seems to be loving this book but when I read it I was completely bored and I hardly remember what it was about. I must've missed something. Currently reading - People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks What an awesome book! If you liked The Da Vinci Code, well, this is like that, but so much better.:)
March 12, 200917 yr Just finished The Count of Monte Cristo! It's my new favorite book, the ending touched my heart and it was just beautifully written. Ahhh I can't stop thinking about the book and need someone to rant with....I really want to read it again. :D
