Caroline
I saw them in August and was front row. I took some amazing pics. They filmed our show and my cousin saw it on tv and said they showed me a lot. I'm still trying to track it down. I LOVE GREEN DAY!!!
watsername182
300 pictures taken, only 10 were decent :shame: Green Day 21st Century Breakdown tour - Live in Singapore January 14th 2010 Oh nice photos! First show I went to I didn't bring a camera so all my photos were taken on my phone. The quality isn't too bad though since I was against the barrier. I brought a camera to the second show but the photos didn't look too great because I was in the stands and my camera's terrible. I saw them in August and was front row. I took some amazing pics. They filmed our show and my cousin saw it on tv and said they showed me a lot. I'm still trying to track it down. I LOVE GREEN DAY!!! Which show did you go to? Caroline
So I was working today and Mike Dirnt came into my store. At first I wasn't going to say anything, but I was like I may never get the chance again...so I asked him if he was Mike from Green Day and he said "Yeah" I was like ""You're like my favorite band ever." Then he said "Well this is my daughter's favorite store." Then he told me to take it easy. It was easily one of the best moments of my life. They are still alright, but they certainly have a chip on their shoulder. That's always the downside when a band you like gets big (or big for a 2nd time in the case of Green Day). That's tight you have met them before. How did you make that happen? Have they been rude?

I collect music memorabilia, so it's a hobby. They used to be friendly, but now act more like it's a bother to spend time with fans. Not rude, just not friendly. Tre and Mike especially. Never had a problem with Billie (except he once accused me of selling stuff on ebay, which is not true). Whatever...

I can see how it could be tiresome to have to do that stuff all the time, but it's their job and they are lucky to have it. I still admire them a lot. Maybe they act differently in certain settings? I'm glad I had a positive experience because having someone be rude to you when you have great admiration for their work would be a real downer. HBK-79
That is very true indeed. GDA does not lie. :D I saw Green Day twice last month *points to sig* and their set was 2.5 - 3 hours long with the setlist changing every night. The shows have been 2.5 - 3 hours long every night on the 21st Century Breakdown tour. According to GDA, Green Day covered AC/DC, the Rollings Stones, and Beatles songs at the Sydney shows. Did Green Day cover those songs in their entirety? Or just snippets?
HBK-79
I've never been to a GD concert before. When GD covers songs, do they cover those songs in their entirety? Or just in snippets (like U2 usually does)?

Did Green Day cover those songs in their entirety? Or just snippets? They only cover snippets. For the AC/DC cover in Sydney, they only played the chorus. The Rolling Stones and Beatles cover is part of a medley they play during King For A Day/Shout. :)
