Guess what you guys, I might be staying in the Clarence for a few days this summer! My dad's got points that he can use to take a lot of money off the cost, and I'm really pushing him to have us stay there!!!! Soooo awesome.

Do they have U2 furnishings there?

I don't know, LOL! I only stood outside it the last time I went to Ireland. I think it's really expensive, so my dad will probably say no.:cry: I need to go find the website and see what it looks like on the inside (I'm thinking bedposts signed by Bono... Edge.... Larry... LOL!!!)

Are you talking about The Clarence in Dublin? I stayed there in Sept. 2004... Wonderful place...:D

Yup, sure am! Was it really expensive when you stayed? I'm probably only going to be there four or five nights (depending), and my dad's got a discount. But... without that I just can't seem to find a typical price....

yeah it was expensive but I sweetalked my hubby into it and he didn't regret it.. Wonderful rooms, awesome beds, egyptian cotton sheets were so soft. Great food, especially their breakfasts. Cool bar, Octogon Bar.. It's a good thing you have your dad's discount.. The rate at that time was $420 dollars a night. We only stayed there 2 nights.

Yikes, that is expensive. The discount should be very helpful....!! It sounds like a lovely hotel, and the pictures I've seen online make it look beautiful! Of course, I don't expect anything left of the guys to have made the place so lovely.... heh

 

 

Well, we're still working on the departure and return dates, but probably leaving July 3rd, staying in Dublin for about 4 days, then I'm going to the Oxegen Festival until July 9th (which is my 18th birthday).

I know... I've really been fortunate enough to get the tickets for the festival and not have my parents go insane on me! My mom just found out and is ALL for it, which surprised me... :stunned: I'm glad I've got cool parents.

My mum would have killed me I'm sure of it, she was worried even when I left for Dublin and stayed there just one week (and I was 23 at that time) :laugh3: :laugh3:
