Yep. I discovered them thanks to Chris mentioning them in X&Y era interviews as an influence (or notably in Toronto 2006 "God gave you style and led you higher/God gave you the music of the Arcade

Yeah I got into Coldplay first and then slowly started getting into Arcade Fire. Once I started to realize their similarities and that Coldplay toured with them during the LVL era, it made me become a

Yeah, I followed a path similar to yours. I am a big fan of VLV and MX (the "midplay" era, ahah) and when I discovered that Coldplay mentioned several times AF as an influence during that period, I st

^I was just thinking about them yesterday.

Funeral, for me anyway, was literally a perfect album. And there's not many albums i'd say that about. But from start to end it there isn't one moment I feel could have been made any better than it is.

It's honestly one of my favourite albums ever.

So can you imagine if their next album is even better?!?.....wow. I'm very excited to hear more from them

yeah..i totally get you and i'm feeling the same, it's very rare thing that kinda scares me, cus i has few albums that i liked this much and all the later stuff totally disapointed me, except rh :D

it will be very hard thing to top funeral.

^Yeah I totally agree.....well, I guess we can only wait and see! :)

I have good faith in them though :D

Been listening to them all day today.....it's so long since it was released but I still love the album as much as the day I bought it. :nice:

I really hope it's not too long before we hear something new from one of the best bands to have ever existed :D I cant wait!

i cant wait for new album.

i thought it was suspossed to be released by the end of 2006, but they obviously moved the date.

Zore! :cheesy:

arcade fire UK tour 2007

Tickets on sale for 5 really intimate London gigs today...............and they're fucking sold out! :( wAS online before 9am all logged into ticketmaster and ready to go. COuldn't fucking get any. BUt dates are gonna be announced later in rest of UK so will just have to wait til then [sob]!

I saw that too, Steph rung me about it. GAH!!!!!!!!!!!! How can they go so quickly??!?!

I know. It's shit! But the proper tour is in April I think. Can hold on until then...:0(

oh man. a guy on another forum i'm on is going two nights. they need to come to seattle.

i envy you brits so much

I'll say. :(

They haven't done a proper Canadian tour in over two years, since before anyone knew who they were. And they're CANADIAN.

Please, please, please guys... don't be like every other band that makes it big internationally and forget that the east coast exists.

like the backstreet boys lol

Except they were bigger in Europe before they were big in the US. But when they became big in the US they forgot about europe...

looking back to my youth here ;0P

Actually the Backstreet Boys were the one set of poptarts who did make it out to Halifax. Twice I think. But they're the exception to the rule. Halifax or anywhere east of Montreal usually doesn't exist on tours.

that's a shame. You should start a petition!

New tour!!!!!

Come to Indonesia pleaaaaaaaase i beg youuuuuuuuuuuuuu :freak:

Thanks for those Zore!
