May 23, 200917 yr No, The Holy Bible DEFINITELY isn't for the faint hearted. But if you feel you can brave it then go for it!
May 27, 200917 yr Speaking of which, I've gotten rather heavily into it over the last month or so. I always thought that it was this completely inaccessible album. It's not - Ifwhiteamerica..., Archives of Pain and 4st 7lb (I have no idea why I find that last one to be as good as I do), not to mention Yes and the singles, all have great hooks. I find it just as well that the lyrics are quite often indecipherable. If they weren't, I doubt I would be able to sit through it. In other news: Hello everyone, I would just like to apologise for the gig last night in Llandudno. I am trying to nurse a prolapsed disc through the tour and last night it went into spasm on stage. This made it virtually impossible for me to move, let alone jump. I desperately want to carry on the tour but it will mean a combination of standing still, sitting down on stage, back braces and painkillers. As you know standing still is utterly alien to me on stage I don’t want any sympathy but hopefully this will explain my lack of movement and general mood. Thank you for your understanding See you all at the Roundhouse. Love from Nicky Wire Get well soon mate. :) Cannot wait for June 4th. Fucking hell, those setlists have been brilliant!! No Surface All Feeling!! Faster made an appearance last night too. :D :D
May 27, 200917 yr You will not be disappointed Ravrat! Keeping my fingers crossed that Nicky can make it through the London dates and get to Wolverhampton in one piece!
May 27, 200917 yr Know Your Enemy, Gold Against The Soul and Send Away The Tigers are the other albums by the way!
May 30, 200917 yr Nicky seems to have picked up a bit according to reports from the London Roundhouse so that is very good news! Only one whole day to go for me! CANNOT WAIT!!!
May 30, 200917 yr Has they changed mailing list companies? It's just because I ain't received any emails from the mailing list for a while
May 31, 200917 yr I don't know. I don't always get info from their mailing list either. I usually find out everything from the Forever Delayed forum. One whole day to go! Woo!
May 31, 200917 yr FOUR DAYS UNTIL DUBLIN  PLEASE PLAY IFWHITEAMERICA... Or something from The Holy Bible other than Faster. Not that I'm complaining of course.
May 31, 200917 yr The site has changed, so I would imagine you need to sign back up to the mailing list.
May 31, 200917 yr Ah, that was why I had to create a new account then! Roll on tomorrow night!!! Woohoo!
June 2, 200917 yr Brilliant last night at Wolverhampton! Despite Nicky not being able to do his usual moves James more than made up for it. Both sets were absolutely rocking and the best gig I have seen by them so far.
June 12, 200917 yr Well done to the lads on winning the MOJO Maverick award! Have to make some room on the ol' mantlepiece!
June 14, 200917 yr I am a huge fan of the manics :D They just released their new album Journal for PLague lovers and I want it so bad!!! I love Generation Terrorists and Holy Bible. Richey Edwards is a genious. I know he is still alive, but I still cry every feb. 1 D: Nicky Wire is the sexiest man on earth.
June 16, 200917 yr Hiya Vibrant! Good to see another Manics obsessive! Though James Dean Bradfield is the sexiest man on the planet. Sorry! But hey, let's not let a little thing like that come between us!
June 16, 200917 yr Manics are saying the new album will have a 'happier' feel to it. Looking forward to it! Can't wait! New book also out looking into the mystery of Richey's disappearance as well.
June 19, 200917 yr The Manics opened the new library in Cardiff yesterday and there was even a Welsh Male Voice choir there who sang A Design For Life! How cool is that? The library has a lovely plaque saying it was opened by the Manic Street Preachers. Beat that Oasis!
June 25, 200916 yr I was listening to the new album, scarcely, but what I heared was cool. Will listen more.
June 25, 200916 yr I think it would be great if Journal For Plague Lovers got nominated for the Mercury Prize. The Holy Bible was also nominated when it came out but didn't win it sadly.
