the beginning of square one is played with an ebow

*Capo on the 2nd fret*

Wow, and here I am thinking I'm the only person who couldn't do it! You just made my day! I tried for like 5mins just to get my fingers into proper position let alone strum the strings.

^Aww, you sound exactly the same as me!!! It takes me so long, lord knows how i'd ever play at normal speed. Its so hard. :/

Jeez tell me about it. I was playing Ode To Joy to my brother and he has this blank look on his face... I was playing it so slow that he didn't know what song it was. :embarrased:

^I got my 1st electric for Christmas, but havent played since I was about 10, when I used to play acoustic. Im teaching myself from start with tabs. And i agree, im not gonna quit either. ;) Keep me updated with your progress! :)

You got an electric one? Wow, thats fantastic. One day... when I'm fast enough to play the acoustic maybe I'll move up. :wink3:

 

Plus, does anyone have a Coldplay tab that they would say is the easiest to play out of all their songs?

I need an easy one to start off with, to try and learn my 1st whole song.

Easiest ColdPlay song must be....... A Rush of Blood to the Head. Easy Chord progression. If you search for it there are about 10 versions of it. If you dont fancy kapones then go to here

and see if thats ok the only chord thats a problem is the B??? chord. Just play a barred Bb. Word of warning though, it'll not sound right unless you leave the high e string open and use your thumb for the F chord, ala Kapones tab.

Does anyone have a good, accurate Talk tab? I saw your tab for the solo Kapone, it was great. I have the main riff and thanks to you the solo pretty much down pat, but I'm having trouble with the chords he plays during the verses and such. Please help?

MS-Ferrari, bless ya, I know exactly what you mean. I played a bit of GPASUYF to my sis and it was so slow she had no clue what it was :lol:

But i've been practicing just for a short while everyday and i can almost play it at normal speed now, which is great! Patience is a virtue i guess! :lol:

 

markigta, thanks for the AROBTTH tab and tips, a song with easy chord progression is exactly what I needed. Im gonna make a start at it tonight, i'll let you know how I get on. Cheers mate! :)

I dont understand a thing of this tab, it seems that the chords for the first verse are different than kapone's and his were spot on.

Its a different tab. This is the tab with the High e tuned to d and and a capo on the 2nd fret. Easier to play in my opinion :lol:

Help With Yellow...

 

Hey i was wondering if anyone knew the electic part in yellow.. It comes in pretty early in the song im thinkin about 15 seconds in maybe? First part that it gets real loud..Its all distorted and everything.. Does anyone know those notes? or are they just the chords that chris plays at the same time... AND also... If anyone know where to get a good tab for Sleeping Sun.. that would be appreciated.. Thanks alot

Kapone! Legend, dude. I'm desperate for good Low tabs though, the chords look pretty high on video and are hard to hear for me to work out, especially whether they're barre chords or... whatever the other ones are. I was wondering if you could for us? Also Johnny's bit confuses me a bit, mixing so well with the plethora of synth.

 

By the way, in response to one of your earlier posts, an easier way of notating tabs in text like you do, without having to manually type out all the lines and notes would be to first tab it as normal in Guitar Pro, then export the file in ASCII format for a notepad version. This is just something I found that surprised me, hope it helps all those avid tabbers out there, unless you already knew of course. XD
