God I love Europe and Canada. America could learn a thing or two from them.

mmmmhmmmm

Colduser and bmillerlte have apparently eloped to Boston to get married. Therefore this thread is suspended until further notice!! :D

Lol one of my friends who is gay named joey hits on my straight friend at school all the time, its effing hilarious. he'd hit on him in front of the class, so everytime i see him(the kid getting hit on) i ask him how his boyfriend is doing, he usualy flicks me off and says fuck you when i say that.

I´m not gay, but Aaron is a great friend here :) Defo gonna support the thread.

right on!!!

well I am not gay either... however I have a few friends that are... online as well as off... I have no problems with same sex marriages.. or with the entire gay rights movement.. I support the cause and the thread.

I dont there is anything wrong with having this thread here..

I'm still confused about my orientation since I like this girl after last week BUTT anyways I'm bi.

I haven't posted here in forever and a day.. but all I have to say is:

Being gay = constant emotional pain and thoughts of suicide for me. Someday I hope I'll be able to look at it differently.. but with the way society pictures gay people it probably wont be very soon. Not all gay people act like Jack on will and grace and walk around in heels with make up on, and it really pisses me off when I see people like that. It just makes the stereotype that much more believable.

you know what makes me laugh?

when some straight people at uni tried to tell me they were homophobic

Them: Gays should all be shot, it's wrong

me: You watch porn?

Them: Yeah, course i fucking do

Me: Does it have woman on woman like most male fantasy land has?

Them: Yeah, don't be stupid. course it does

me: You know that means you can't be homophobic then because that's still gay

them: No, just men lesbians are different

me: uh huh, so basically you're afraid of males liking men. Maybe you should think why that might be, tempted perhaps?

stupid fools.

   bunch of nobs!!!

wait.. was that a freudian slip?? :uhoh:

I understand where you are coming from. Just be sure to surround yourself with supportive, caring people. Anybody that spews hatred you should stay away from.

Great point Majson. I can relate exactly to what you are talking about. I'm always reminded of the Shakespeare line, "me thinks thou doth protest too much." Those men especially that are REALLY homophobic always lead me to believe that they are covering up for their own insecurities about being gay :)

well its appropiate by my standards lol

That's good enough for me :D ;)

I'm so glad I live here and not in the United States. Although this poor gay editor of a gay magazine in New York, who visited Amsterdam and thought "Well, this is a tolerant country, I can take a stroll in the park walking hand in hand with my boyfriend", then got beaten straight into a hospital by a group of 6 Moroccans...

Amsterdam isn't really gay-friendly anymore indeed :disappointed:

Well it seems to be mostly gay male couples who express their feelings in public who seem to get harassed or abused in our capital...odd, really.
