October 16, 200619 yr I'm selling arctic monkeys tshirts, size medium and I have two shirts (another one that is black with white lettering). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/dreamer4ever88/IMG_2729.jpg $10 each shirt. thanks
October 23, 200619 yr rumour has it... i read that the monkeys are going to release an autobiography (that early?!) about their real story. it's going to be all official and they'll write it themselves.
October 24, 200619 yr yeahh... it' sounds a bit odd to me........... what's the source? ......hmm.....especially the part about them "writing it themselves". they don't seem like the kind of people that would do that.... write about the "real story" in their own words, letting the whole public know even more about them than they already do. Besides, in interviews and stuff, they're quite reserved on what they say so................... :uneasy:
October 24, 200619 yr rumour has it... i read that the monkeys are going to release an autobiography (that early?!) about their real story. it's going to be all official and they'll write it themselves. What is it going to say? Hey we are Arctic Monkeys and well we were born...now we are famous. the end.:laugh4:
October 25, 200619 yr :laugh4: I don't believe it to be honest. I hope it's just a rumour really, doesn't sound like a good idea to me! Stick to music for now and get going on the new album please
October 25, 200619 yr What is it going to say? Hey we are Arctic Monkeys and well we were born...now we are famous. the end.:laugh4: well, the article said that the blokes were very mad about an unofficial biography released earlier this year. they want to tell the real story about the internet thing and why andy left the band. my source: german teletext and MTV
October 25, 200619 yr Oh well maybe it is happening after all. Fair enough if they way to tell their true story. I'm sure it'll do pretty well too, I just don't see the point. What I mean is, people shouldn't be too interested about that over the music.
October 25, 200619 yr lmafo, I'd buy it. But I think they should write something for the NME or whatever, not an actual book. That's a bit too.... that's too hard to swallow, for me. I just think they should write an indepth whatever article and put it on their website or something. Like a very big, long, good statement. It's something we've never gotten from them. We don't need a book, we don't need to know where they're from or who their parents are. I certainly don't. I'd like to know a bit more about the musical process and what exactly happened with Andy (well, BASICALLY what happened)..... but yeah. Not a book... I would buy it thought :uhoh: Especially if it had pictures.... :idea2:
October 25, 200619 yr well, the article said that the blokes were very mad about an unofficial biography released earlier this year. they want to tell the real story about the internet thing and why andy left the band. my source: german teletext and MTV Not a bad idea to get the thruth out, yanno! But I still believe its waaaaaaay too early for a biography! I wish it could have lots of pictures of them on tour and things like that:wink:
October 25, 200619 yr I wish it could have lots of pictures of them on tour and things like that:wink: Exactly! Not meant in the fangirl way this time, but some good tour photos would be awesome. I always love when a photo can show the atmosphere and capture the moment. So yeah, I would buy it for that first of all, and reading it wouldn't do me any harm. But as Dani pointed out, I think a book is a bit too much. Some insight on the musical side sound awesome, but more than that is just... not worthy? Yet? :uhoh2:
October 25, 200619 yr They should just do a biography on their site, write their own sections up. Then have a book of tour pictures, that'll come with a DVD or something. I don't knooooow, but yeah. I'd much prefer a book in 20 years. This just makes it sound like they're riding it as hard and fast as they can until they crash. They're too young to do that, and give themselves too little credit if they do. But then, they're in the studio supposedly now and I honestly don't think they're like that. *keeping fingers crossed*

Unless if some people had to do with it (record company??) Anyway, I just noticed they changed their website around a little hahahaa
November 4, 200619 yr First part of Arctic Monkeys tour diary from their website: http://www.arcticmonkeys.com/adelaide.html lmfao "me voice's gone. you nicked it in there!" love Matt, he's awesome :laugh4: Legends.
November 16, 200619 yr Great band. I've loved them since August 05. Can't wait for the new album to be out which I think is early next year.
November 19, 200619 yr from gigwise: Not sure about this one, but according to the Glasswerk website, Alex Turner will be making his live debut with new band The Rascals in Liverpool next month. We’ll bring you confirmation as soon as we get it, but apparently the Arctic Monkeys frontman will play with the band on 1 December at the Korova Bar – the setting for the ‘Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not’ album cover, pop trivia fans. Turner has other links to the city, having recorded parts of their debut album with local producer Mike Crossey. One thing that definitely is happening in Monkey-world is the release of the ‘Rhythms Del Mudon’ album on Monday, which features The Buena Vista Social Club reworking one of their songs – as well as covers of Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay and The Kaiser Chiefs tunes amongst others.
November 19, 200619 yr Arctic Monkeys covered Kaiser Chiefs? They taking the piss, then? :laugh4: :laugh4: oh god. I want that shit.
November 20, 200619 yr Oh no no I think you're getting that wrong Dani! It's Buena Vista Social Club covering all those artists. Judging from what I know of them (yeah, dad likes them) they'll cover those songs in a particula Cuban sound-salsalike. Sorry, don't know how to describe them! Check them out if you're interested, they're quite legendary in South America.
November 20, 200619 yr OH! LMFAO. I totally missed that :laugh4: I was about to say, Arctic Monkeys covering Kaisers... Considering their history with the band, it'd definately be them taking the piss!! :laugh4: :uhoh: Cheers for clearing that up, Andy. Haha I'm so dumb sometimes... oy. I want to hear Arctic Monkeys cover the Libertines, damnit!!!! Specifically 'What A Waster'. I want to hear how Alex would pronounce "cunt" :laugh4:
November 20, 200619 yr :stunned: They swear? :laugh3: Ohhhh the thought of it :D It'd be interesting! They definitely should, maybe as a b-side or something? I just hate crappy audience recordings :laugh3:
