Everybody's been saying that, that it comes as no shock. I have to admit, though, I was completely flabbergasted when I read this.

 

I'm not doom and gloom about it, though. They still seem to be having a great time on stage, and that's the sign of a band with some strength. They can definately perservere through this.

 

 

 

 

But, you know, now that I think about it more.... I think that the signs were there. I don't like to base my opinions off superficial magazine images, or articles, or whatever... But I was just looking at a cut out from Rolling Stone of the band that's on my wall. Everyone's photographed "intimately" in it, except for Andy. I know that bass players usually get ignored (not rightfully so!!!!). But so do drummers, and Matt is there. I think Andy really didn't like the spotlight, I definately don't think it was a result of some sort of feud. They never showed signs of THAT.

 

 

 

I hope some questions are answered soon, so people can stop being so deprecating and cruel towards the band. I'm tired of rumors and mindless speculations.

Yeah, those are the type of things can gave me the idea that not everything was hunky-dory too. ('hunky-dory' LMAO! :lol: but you know what I mean)

It just seemed to me like something was up as soon as I heard that Andy was going to be taking a break to due 'fatigue'. I highly doubt there ever was any. I agree with you Danielle that it seemed like he was unhappy with so much attention...after all, they came up SO fast, it was probably a big shock for him, especially when he didn't seem to be very comfortable being in the spotlight.

 

What's Nick like as a bassist? As good as Andy?

I saw them when they still had Andy, so I haven't heard him on bass yet...

Nick was really good, he nailed all of the bass lines and seemed to be having a great time. I have no problem with him, he seems like a really nice guy. All the best to him, I wouldn't complain (or be surprised) if he took over for Andy.

 

However, copying and replaying bass lines that are already CREATED is one thing. Making them up is another story all together.

 

I saw Nick hanging out with Matt in Boston way before the show, they seem to have a good chemistry going.

Exactly. That's what im worried about mainly. Well not worried...I have faith in Nick, he sounds great...but I just fucking LOVE some of those basslines, and im worried they might lose somthing without Andy's input in their next songs...

 

I guess only time will tell eh!

I'm so glad to read other front row people saying Alex looked at them during gigs. When I saw them he DEFINATLEY looked right at me during the 'stop making the eyes at me....' bit during IBTYLGOTD. It seemed so weird that since I thought I probably imagined it. But maybe not :stunned:

Alex doesn't look, he STARES. It's kind of unnerving. I don't think he had anywhere else to look during the whole show except towards me at some points. Poor guy, I probably traumatized him. And oh, I was so makin' the eyes at him the whole time. I don't know how he could have not noticed.

 

 

Alex likes to stare down cameras too. I was watching the professional photographers running around in the pit (fucking covering my view sometimes), and Alex would look directly into the lense until the person took the picture and moved away. He's like a cat or something. LMFAOOO :heart:
