where do you buy all these singles cd's ??? is it only online you can get them?

i need to expand my coldplay cd collection i have a few b-side but i downloaded them from itunes, i want an actual cd though

I have all those too, but my Hardest Part and Talk are from Aussie-land so in the jewel cases. I didn't know they came in card sleeves :thumbsup:

 

The Holland 3-disc Talk and the Norwegian Trouble EP are two of my favourites in my collection.

Just a heads-up to the other collectors out there... That guy who was selling the fake Safety EP is back at it again with a new user-name. The photo is identical to the one I was stupid enough to bid on. I just reported the auction to eBay but who knows if anything will come of it. :angry:

Aw, I have absolutely no delusions about actually winning this thing. ;) If the seller was telling the truth about not knowing what it was work, they are going to be very surprised, I think, as the bids start to go up!

I haven't really decided what I'm willing to give for it... We'll see. But, honestly. How can you NOT realize that it's worth a fair amount of money. Come on, it's one of the worlds biggest bands first record. :P

i'm putting all my effort and money in completing other parts of my collection first. Then in a couple of years, when i'll have enough moeny to buy the 'Safety EP', it'll be the release that finishes off my collection. Can't wait for that to happen :P

That's my philosophy right now too. I'm concentrating on the red Lost! and Strawberry Swing (where the heck are the strawberry swing CDs hiding anyway? They're as rare as Mince Spies!)

it even comes on ebay so often that in a couple of months, the price went from €50-60 euros to €15-20.

 

What i'm missing? I'm an obsessive collector and the more I collect, the more i'm missing :P Major gaps in my collection are : Clocks special 3-part dutch edition, also some more Viva-era releases ( I just added Lovers in Japan US cardsleeve to my collection though), and some more obvious things: yellow UK promo, Trouble UK promo, Life in technicolour 7" and so on

 

what Ireally want in my collection too one day , besides the Safety EP and Mince Spies, is the Don't Panic 12". I'm a huge vinyl collector and this would be heaven for me. Also the Speed Of Sound promo vinyl would be awesom too to own, but since there are only 10-20 copies in the world, i'm not making any illusions.

They've definitely been more common on eBay UK, and I only buy from sellers who list on eBay.com. I've let a few go that went for under $50, thinking that I'd hold off awhile for the price to drop, and now they only show up once or twice a month, so that was a mistake. If I don't have one by the end of the year it may be time to expand my search!

Ha, yeah, that's like me... I pretty much have all the official singles and a few promos where an official single didn't exist, but I'm not quite so fanatic that I have to have multiples of everything. I do have mulitples of a single if it's in different formats (ie: Talk comes to mind - Talk CD, Talk DVD, Talk Remixes, Talk 3CD...)

 

The only thing I have two identical copies of is the original Brothers and Sisters CD since it's sort of rare. Other than that, I just need Strawberry Swing to have all I want! YAY!

 

Maybe someday I'll add Mince Spies and Safety, but I dunno...

I framed mine. :3 I was going to frame the 4 albums as part of my Wall of Coldplay but I actually take those with me in the car often enough and I can't see buying new ones just for the wall... so, so far all I have up there is What If. :nice:

 

edit: Thanks to this discussion I just went to eBay uk and bought Strawberry Swing. :dance: (It will make me feel better about not being able to bid on Safety anymore.)
