I think you are talking about something that we are not discussing. as I told you we are talking about God, not about religions, it doesn't matter if I am christian or not, what does matter here is what God might think about homosexuality....GOD not religions.

The bible decided to banned her scripts because she was woman and a prostitute!!!!

and about that...... the bible didn't decided anything. religion did. I don't now what religion you might follow or not, but just to make that clear

that's why im not religious?? see??? controversy shit!!! i hate that!

:o calm down everybody :D

Somebody on myspace wrote something that it was really interesting for me.....

when jesus was alive, he had what many scholars call an "open table fellowship". that means, he ate with anyone at any level of society. that does not sound like such a big deal, but in the time of jesus, being seen eating with the likes of tax collectors and hookers was akin to being a sexual predator now (somewhat). so, in the face of all of this societal pressure, jesus went out of his way to help and associate with outcasts of society. he would talk to the lepers, wash the feet of women, eat with tax collectors, allow hookers into his group of followers, etc.....

today, faggots are the new tax collectors and lepers. they are spit on by everyone in society. they are denied rights to marry, ostracized, and even killed for expressing themselves sexually with other men.

if jesus were around today, do you think he would be on the picket lines condemning faggotdom or at rage doing the cabbage patch with the queers? my guess is at rage with the queers. why? cause he believed that what you did to the least of man, you did to him. thus, excluding, denying, and attacking gays probably wouldnt go along with his creedo. accepting, loving, and befriending would.

i don't understand how so many christians miss this. how do they not see that jesus was a social revolutionary, and that to be more like jesus, they too should be social revolutionaries by exercising radical acceptance.

moreover, i dont get how they take lines out of the old testament that are anti-gay and give them more weight than the open table fellowship, which is almost pro gay (not quite, though), in the new testament, their book. wasn't what jesus said more important than some obscure quotes from the OT?

(Refering to the re-sized part):

I don't know about the cabbage patch business, but I do know that Jesus would NOT riot in the streets against homosexuals or really anyone (even if they went against his beliefs and teachings). That was just not a part of his character. He taught in his own peaceful way and never tried to FORCE his ideas on anyone. You either took it or you didn't. While he would not riot or anything...he would let his opinion be known in a passive way, as he did with many situations (making examples out of sinners or people who got out of line).

And to give my opinion in regards to the question: I don't believe Jesus would HATE gays..he didn't HATE anyone( except prolly Satan) he hated their "sinful" ACTIONS.

Because everyone sins, but that does not mean he hates them. IT should be understood that he would prolly only hate their ACTIONS and not the person ..get it? I mean the guy gave his life for us, mere sinners. He would not hates us.

Now I am not speaking for the man himself...I am just baseing this on what I have read with my own eyes in the bible.

I don't know if I kept this objective or not, but this was just for our opinions.

so they decide what do you have to think...they say "homosexuality is bad" or "having sex before marriage is bad" they dont have any right to say something so serious like that!!!

well mafe there is stuff to do with convernents/blood covernents wen it comes to 'sex before marriage' so there r actually rasons y ppl dont have sex before marriage.

we should love one another, but intimate and sexual love was intended to between jst man and women. not ppl of the same gender. thats y it is wrong

u tell 'em crystal!

very wise words.

yup

who actually are christians here?

*raises hand tooo* ;) awesome crystal :D

I believe many people here are christians.

was just putting my opinion out there and I hope no one takes offense to that.

yea , sum people take offense easily, i dont like that

I know. Several times people have been offended by my opinions. That is just the weirdes thing to me

I haven't read the whole thread a well but I will give you my point of view. One, I can't prove to you that there is God, but you can't prove to me that he exists either, so there's the problem and the reason why I'm an agnostic.

I was raised in a christian environment and went to bible study. I was in a room where we (kids) were expected to say yes to everything they taught. They spoke words as they were facts but to me it felt like a grown up version of a fairy tail, so I started asking questions.

Did bread really fall from the sky?

How did the sea really split...seriously?

He has a plan for everybody?

I quickly came to the realization that there is a bigger picture at hand and it had nothing to do with a "god". I found that RELIGION should of been named TRADITION. If your Catholic, chances are your parents are Catholic, if your a witness, chances are your parents are Witnesses. Every religion swearing by it.

Churches are businesses like any other business collecting money through systems of thier own just like any business.

What makes us believe? Is it the fear of going to hell? Is it the pressure of family and peers? Is it becuase we choose to go along with the mass perception. I am not bound by any of these and dare to ask questions.

The orginal question of this thread is would he hate gays, I think the question, "Do we even know that God exists" should be a definate answer before we can go on to the next.

I totally agree with Idsad! I do not blame the believers' date=' but I have a completely different idea![/quote']

FOR FUCK SAKE!! IM TRYING TO SAY THATAND ANYONE LISTENS!!!

Did bread really fall from the sky?

pathetic...who says it fell out of the sky? :freak:

Okay. When I read the part about the sea splitting and all these miracles...

(it is hard to explain in words, but I will try)

How is it that our bodies work in the perfect way they do? How is it that even our hands are built in a way that, the lengths of our fingers are precisely place to grab things..any things? And our eyes see color, and color exists to begin with? How is it that all of our cells just KNOW what to do with out our telling them? Or how something as seemingly small as dirt gives nutrience to a plant? That in itself is a miracle to me. Scientists have studied these things for ages and are still discovering these "miracles".

So you see, if he has made our bodies and the functions of all life so perfect and precise to work on their own...surely he could split the sea or make a little bread turn into a lot. Those seem alot more simple miracles than the way our bodies work or the atmosphere or the heavens with plantes revolving at such a way that we are not burned by the sun, but are not frozen either.

Yet they can't really prove that God does or does not exist. I cannot either. But there's this thing called faith. I have faith that God is my creator and the creator of all things dwelling on this planet.

Based on what I have read in the bible.

Plus, if you are more of a historian, then surely you can see that the prophesies in the bible are precise enough and have come true (most of them anyway). That there are events in histroy that were predicted hundreds and hundreds of years in advance.

I just had to put my two cents into that one

I read a comment here earlier that said Jesus loves all people, even homosexuals. I believe that is true and like I said..he hates their ations and the paths they chose.

its not wrong in your belief but is in mine...but since people should have freedom they should be alowd to have sex and people shouldnt treat them badly because of that...sadly many gay people are treated badly in todays world and thats sick..being gay may be immoral but so is alot of things people do.
