meanie!:disappointed:

I'm Christian.

I hate saying i am religious though. Because i hate the word "religion".

I am a follower of God.

There is a difference between having a relationship with the Lord, compared to being "religious".

:D

and it doesn't bother me what some of the mean things people might say in here.

Say what you want..

I have respect for everybody no matter what their beliefs. so you should to.

I was only joking with the penis sucking comment

I honestly have no problem with people like you, if you feel the need to believe in God it's none of my business and I'm sure it's a great thing for you.

yah, im one in the lesser group of people who dont have a religion, or a relationship with any kind of god. but i try to respect everyones beliefs. my mom's side of the family are hard-core catholics, and well, im not sure about my dad's side. it's just that my immediate family doesnt go to church or synagogue or mosque. or anything of the sort.

proud catholic over heeere.

i would go into more detail about it but, blah. i wouldn't stop yapping about it,

plus i have a date with Don Julius Caesar by Mr. William Shakespeare.

maybe i'll say something on the matter later.

maybe.

Yeah, I don't like saying I'm religious either. It makes it sound so dry and meaningless.

But its one of those things thats hard to explain. You can say "I have a relationship with Christ, but I'm not religious" That'll leave them saying WTF. But on the other hand it can open doors to meaningful conversations.

I don't know what I am

I mean, I'm catholic, but I've been confused about religion for the past 4 years, so I don't know if I believe in God or not. Sometimes I do, but sometimes I think that I believe because I want to believe that there is something more and just that.

I used to go to church every sunday, also I used to "work" at church teaching to little kids about religion and stuff, but now I'm so confused that I don't even go there

What sort of things confuse you?

I disagree in many things with some Vatican's principles. For example I think that euthanasia, therapeutic abortion and divorce should be allowed.

Also I don't see the point in celibacy (is that the right word in english?), the priests are there to guide and help people but they just can't do it in the right way sometimes, because they don't have a "normal" family and they don't live all those things that most of the families live.

Ohh and confession, I don't see the point in going to talk to a priest to say sorry for the sins or bad things that I do, if God is watching me, he'd see that I'm sorry, this is a pretty stupid argument but it's a way to show that I think that some practices are obsolete.

And talking in a more superficial way, I'm in a catholic university but all I can see are rich kids, if you don't pay, you are out. the university is really rich but they just care about making more money. If Jesus would be alive, he wouldn't be able to go there because his parents wouldn't have the money .

sometimes I really think that I'm catholic because I'm afraid of death and I'd like to think that there is something more. It's a bad thing I know, but many people only thinks about religion during bad times

also I don't like about catholicism that most of us don't know anything about religion... I feel that I need to learn more about it, I can't believe in something I ignore (that's my fault, I know). It's not like some jewish or adventist people that I've met, they know a lot about their religion and their principles.
