I will not lie, I have not had such a constant love for a band in a LONG. time. In fact, I don't think I've ever had a love for a band never go away in the 6 months I've really loved them (been "out of the closet" as a Libs fan, that is, liked them a lot for awhile before that, ahah, just took some Pete lovin' and convincin')... not even U2... wtf. Seriously. This is crazy.

 

 

Will it never stop? Something tells me it won't. I keep finding new bands that are similiar to them, and then fall in love with them as well. Basically anybody NME starts to pimp even in a small way I get into. But I always seem to come right in a circle around to the Libertines. No matter what.

 

 

These albums will never leave me. It makes me sad that others will never feel the same way, maybe through fear or ignorance or blindness. This is the best music I've discovered since I discovered Coldplay (which led to U2 love and the lot). I rank the Libs next to them. Maybe not as ALL TIME favorites (although they ARE on that list, but not for this conversation), but certainly as MOST INFLUENTIAL in my life.

I'm glad there's some people out there (ie. you lots) that have the ability (can't find a suitable word) of feeling so strongly about music. It is life changing for me and, again, I'm glad I don't have to explain myself here as there are people that know what I'm on about and what my actions are based on.

 

I hope this never changes. Finding bands that make you feel 100% happy and help you forget about whatever might be happening around you is just magic. And you're spot on when saying it's a real shame some people just deny that and won't let themselves enjoy it as well.

 

And how great discovering new bands is? Anyway, I have to admit, there's probably a couple or three bands/artists that have a special space in my heart totally owned.

No, seriously.. I know excatly what you mean.. To me the Libs are equal to, not the Beatles but defenitly to Coldplay. I've been into them for about two years and I don't think there's been a day that I haven't listened to them during that period. That has only happened with Coldplay and Beatles before.

They just got that something and like you say, I love bands that are similar but still nothing grabs hold and...fucks my brain in the way these men do.

And...okay I forgotten what I was gonna say so: The Libs, love them!

I'm actually pretty bummed today....yesterdat me and a guy from my halls planned to get tickets for that Frog tour on Thursday (tomorrow night), there were still standing tickets left for Brixton :stunned:, and the Babyshambles are playing.....but our halls internet went down all afternoon&night yesterday so we couldn't get any. Got online this morning, and they've all gone :bigcry: just seated tickets left. :(
