Who's autograph's do you have? Did you get them in person?

 

I've met hundreds of famous people because I'm cool like dat, but I dont really see the point in autographs and I dont have any, cuz I'm cool like dat.

 

DISCLAIMER: I havent met anyone, in life, full stop.

only some famous polish people`s autographs. in london i got the chance to get david schwimmer and the faithless leading guy`s autographs but i didn`t want to :dozey:

I have 2 set of autographs of which I painstakingly waited hours for.. and it was well worth it..

 

1)Muse... waiting for 3 hours I think after their gig here in NYC back in 2004. I got all 3 of them to sign my OOS cd... MEGA! -and I got a pic with Chris.. :blush:

 

2)Interpol... all four at a record signing which was set up for only 1 hour -so I got there suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper early and was the first in line. :cool:

 

I also got Keane's autograph, but I paid for those.... and I also got a famous hiphop producers autograph for a friend of mine who was/is his biggest fan.

 

Why did I bother getting them?? I dunno.. because I am a fan I suppose....

My brother collects autographs of football players and sells them.

 

He's only started doing it recently using posters out of his old MATCH magazines. He has signed posters from loads of Premiership players that are worth like.... £300 if he sold them all.

 

He stays back after games and stands around in the carparks waiting for the players to come out, and when he's not at school or at football (he plays for the team I coach) he goes to the training ground to get Newcastle players autographs.

 

He's also been to Hotels where players have stayed (Liverpool the other week, he got like... £50 worth of autographs in an hour and met some people like Steven Gerrard etc) and even went to Sunderland (bad territory) to get autographs from teams that were playing there (except S'land of course, no Mackem autographs. :angry: )

 

He has a book that's nearly full aswell. People like, Paul Jewell, Sam Allardyce, Malcolm Macdonald (saw him in McDonalds, funny enough... true story aswell I was there) and Alan Shearer and Michael Owen.

 

He does it as a hobby it's pretty cool.

 

 

 

Other than that... Nothin.... Actually... From Florida Disney Land we have Mickey Mouse and the Army Man out of Toy Story!!

I'm in no way an autograph collector. But I actually use "getting an autograph" as an excuse to wait to meet someone.

 

Erm... Well, my brother used to collect those Lord Of the Rings trading card things, because he's a geek freak, and he got Dom Monaghan's autograph in one of the deck's. At the time that meant nothing to me, but now I'm an avid watcher of Lost. So it's in MY room. Ha.

 

I went to this thing in New York called BeatleFest a year ago, waited in line to meet Billy Preston, Larry Kane (awesome author/journalist), Mark Hudson (Ringo Starr's producer/band mate) and Neil Innes (I don't think anyone here's familiar with The Ruttles?). Got all their autographs in person. I'm going to the same thing this Friday, and some other people should be there that I'm going to try to meet (and "get their autographs", lmfao).

 

Oh. And I just HAPPEN to have The Edge and Adam Clayton's autographs, from U2. I met Edge (he WINKED!!!! at me), but didn't actually meet Adam. Long story. And I stood two feet from Bono, but pussied out at asking him for his sig. I was trying to think of something insanely intelligent to say, but by the time I thought a relevent thought... he was gone. :(

 

....I'm lame. I framed the PEN that Adam used to sign my thing...... :sick:

I have an autograph from Jose Theodore (ex-Habs goalie)....and I have a bunch of random hockey players autographs. Some of them hae turned out to be really good.

collecting autographs seems a bit weird now that im older, used to have some when i was younger though.

mhh ... well i have two authographs of german mangakas (those peeps who draw mangas). they were in a local comcishop and since i used to likes mangas, i waited for them ... they also drew somehting for me :D

 

i actually don't have any autographs of famous people ... mhh ... one bloke that used to go to my school is in german's national soccer team (in the league for youngsters) and i got an autograph from him too ... (i hope he'll become one of the big stars one day so i can sell that autograph on ebay ;) )

Bono's...maybe

 

I waited outside his hotel for 3 hours til he came out to sign before leaving for the concert, but some asshole stole the poster I had bought and got it sign :censored:

A nice policeman saw something on the floor and he told me to grab it, it's a big red paper with something similar to Bono's signature....I hope it's for real

Basically: do you have any celebrities' autographs, and how did you get them (actually met them and asked them for it or bought one)?

 

I don't have any autographs, myself, I haven't been lucky enough to meet anyone. Even people I don't care about. :laugh4: But I think I'd prefer a picture with them if allowed.

Well lets see, I've got Chris and Jonny's autograph when they came to Much Music to promote X&Y! :smug: (now i seek the other half) and today i just found my kodak picture cd of the pictures i took that day! (originals got damaged in the rain) Okay, I've got Gwyneth Paltrow's and Anthony Hopkins when they came to the Toronto Film Festival for Proof (boy, i waited literally 3.5 hours+) and I've got Denzel Washingon's at the Toronto Film Festival the year before. Those are my prized ones. thank god famous people come here!

 

Oh yes, and our city's former mayor!:P that was interesting

I have some autographs by some football players from Bayern München.....don't know where they are.....

We have been at a training by the team...and at the end they signed autographs......Oliver kahn was standing next to me and then he said:"No......there has to be an end!" and he stopped....so me and my sister went away and he went on with signing!:lol:

i have a few autographs ... a few from belgian actors and then the two most important ones: Kim Clijsters and Justin Henin

I have a few autographs (Phil Collins, Herman Maier and some Benfica players) but I never waited in line for them... I think that's lame...

 

these autographs i got them all casually, walking on the street or working...

I dont have any famous people's autographs.What's the point?Just a piece of paper with somebody's name.I can enjoy their music, books or movies but I don't need their names on paper.
