:shocked2:

is that a bump on her tummy?

Too much trifle over christmas...

There was also a mention of her hosting SNL next weekend.

Yes, Cee-Lo is on the same show, maybe they're new BFF's :P

Aww, I'll be sure to watch Jimmy tonight :nice:. She won't be doing SNL next weekend as it's Jim Carrey hosting (the Black Keys as a musical guest), but maybe the week after? I can't find anything via Google that says anything about the January 15 episode, but I guess we'll see :D

Gwyneth Paltrow finds herself Country Strong

LOS ANGELES - Gwyneth Paltrow isn't even a little bit country.

She's the London-based wife of Coldplay pop star Chris Martin, mother to Apple, 6, and Moses, 4, and daughter to revered Tinseltown actress Blythe Danner and the dearly departed producer Bruce Paltrow.

So, the Oscar winner is more Hollywood aristocracy than down-home just folks.

Still, the 38-year-old couldn't resist the temptation of playing the substance-abusing Nashville singer Kelly Canter in the melodrama, Country Strong, which opens Jan. 7.

"It was really cathartic for me to do it," says Paltrow at a Beverly Hills hotel suite. "She's someone who is human, but so reckless, and in my own life, I'm so organized."

In the Shana Feste-directed movie, Paltrow's Canter tries to be centred after her rehab-clinic release to embark on what may be her last-chance comeback tour with her husband-manager James (Tim McGraw).

Along for the emotionally bumpy ride are two rising stars. One is a young singer-songwriter (Garrett Hedlund) on the verge of breaking out. The other is a former beauty queen (Leighton Meester) with some secrets she's trying desperately to cover up.

Relapses, love affairs and lots of onstage country crooning follow, which was fine for Paltrow, although she knew the task would be difficult when she accepted the part.

Four months of pre-production voice training came easily to the accomplished singer. She had more difficulty with the guitar playing required of her character, and the stage performing.

Mind you, her rock 'n' roll singer husband helped with a few suggestions. And during the shoot in and around Nashville last winter, Paltrow could rely on pearls of wisdom from country music veteran McGraw (who doesn't perform in the film) and his chart-topping singer wife, Faith Hill.

Besides that, the Paltrow-Martin clan were house guests at the McGraw-Hill estate just outside of Nashville. "We got along really well," says Paltrow.

"We all became so close. "Tim's wife is basically the greatest person on earth. She's the most generous, patient, kind, amazing mother, amazing wife, amazing homemaker - and then, she's also Faith Hill."

As a change of pace, Paltrow borrowed a bit from another onstage performer she admires.

"I pulled from a lot of different people," she says of her Country Strong presence. "But especially Beyonce's confidence level, because she is so mind-blowing. I knew I would be fine if I could just bring a tiny bit of that extreme joy and abandonment she brings."

Don't expect Paltrow to lead a double life, though. She has no plans to record an album or tour just yet. For now, she confines herself to more intimate performances.

"I know that singing and the guitar are really a part of my life now, and I play and sing every day, but I may just continue do it on the floor with my kids."

However, she can't deny the power and the glory of performing in front of a stadium audience, which she managed for some of the Country Strong sequences.

"It's a big rush," she admits. "It's very vulnerable and scary to sing in front of people, but then you do it, and when you're done, you're like on a high."

Returning to her film career, she has signed to do Steven Soderbergh's thriller Contagion in 2011, and she'll be reprising her Pepper Potts role in Iron Man 3, set for a 2013 release.

Meanwhile, there was her guest appearance last November on the hit series Glee, as the singing and dancing substitute teacher, Holly Holliday. She's set to do another guest shot later in the season.

"It was the best," says Paltrow of the experience shooting in L.A. "I didn't even know what Glee really was before I was on. So I started watching, and I was totally Glee-obsessed. When I got to set, I was so into it, I was kind of star-struck."

Still, Paltrow and family won't be moving to the entertainment-industry-obsessed Southern California area any time soon.

"The older I get, the more I consider coming back to California," Paltrow says, "but as much as I miss it here, it's nice to live in a place where show business is not everyone's dinner conversation.

"I feel like, in L.A., moms at school are like, 'Oh, how much did it gross this weekend?'"

Luckily, the actress remembers having her father around when she was dazzled, and depressed, by the suffocating movie-centric city.

"After I won the Oscar, it was really too much for me," she says of her 1999 best actress Academy Award for Shakespeare in Love.

That's when her father gave her a reality kick.

"He forced me back down to earth," she recalls. "He reminded me stay grateful and humble, because I see it happen a lot with kids coming up, who have lost the plot a bit.

"If you lose your gratitude, and you don't appreciate every opportunity that comes your way, that's the biggest sin."

Gwyneth Paltrow & Cameron Diaz BFFs on New Year's Eve

January 3, 2011 1:08 PM Digg It De.licio.us RSS print email

Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz rang in the new year together along with an A-list crowd at the grand opening of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The two blondes were part of the elite group gathered in a private VIP area at the boutique hotel for the powerhouse performances of Coldplay and Jay-Z. While Gwyneth's hubby and his British band took the stage, the Country Strong star — in a skin-tight dress — sipped wine and danced with her new BFF Cameron, who was accompanied by her Yankee star boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.

To the left of the blonde bombshells, a very sparkly Beyoncé and Jay-Z watched the show — before H.O.V.A. himself took to the stage. Also there? Rihanna, who — having recently split with beau Matt Kemp — got her groove on with some girlfriends.

Other stars making the scene included Blake Lively, Kellan Lutz, Ellen DeGeneres, Samantha Ronson, Channing Tatum, Giada De Laurentiis and Glee's Mark Salling.

The action on stage was equally star-studded! After Coldplay kick-started the party, Jay came on at midnight with a giant clock to countdown the New Year and bring in 2011 with a shower of confetti. Coldplay returned to finish their set and Jay-Z joined them, calling up some of his favorite musician pals — including Kanye West and John Mayer — to join them.

The duet of the night was undoubtedly when Jay-Z’s gorgeous wife, dressed in a festive sequined silver and white dress, joined him to sing "Forever Young" and "Halo."

When Chris was done with his musical obligations, he spent the rest of the show standing protectively behind Gwyneth, who ditched her sky-high heels for a portion of the night so she could dance. When it came time for them to leave, she had to lean on her hubby as she tried to get her shoes back on.

As for Cameron, she seemed partied out as she left at almost 2am. With smudged red lipstick and tangled hair, she was guided out of the packed venue by A-Rod and their security detail.

sorry I couldn't get the page to come up so here's the article, I love the Chris and Gwyneth part:drunk::hug::chris::blush:

EDIT............YOU DID IT, AS I POSTED.LOL
