Ah, fashion... the fun frivolity that can really cheer a girl up.

I used to spend a lot of time looking at fashion, reading about fashion, generally being bemused by fashion. Then one day I had children and it all kind of went out the window. For a few years I was basically in sweat pants and I didn’t mind it. It’s a fine line, however, between being comfortable and being demoralized by being frumpy all the time. Just because I no longer had an hour to stand in front of my closet and try to figure out what to wear, did not mean I had to don the same high school t-shirt from the day before. As I started to get back into the world of work, I needed to wear something easy and chic that did not require a lot of planning or accessorizing. It is here that I did return to high school, but this time for a clothing concept: the uniform. Below you will find how the concept works. The key to it is realizing what works on you personally. At some point I figured out that following trends is not always the way to go, you have to know what works on your body and have confidence (not always easy) that what is flattering is fashionable.

I want clothes that move easily from a winter's morning making pancakes to the school run to a meeting to homework to a dinner party. These are the basics I am wearing right now for easy, fuss-free dressing. I’ve paired the basics together for three very different but wearable outfits that can be amended for any occasion.

Option One:

 

Black leggings, grey tank, and house slippers.

 

Option Two:

 

Throw on sweater dress over leggings and tank, add boots.

 

 

Put on overcoat and sunglasses.

 

 

Option Three:

 

Add Uniqlo skirt to leggings and grey tank, with blazer and high-heeled booties. Add bracelet.

 

 

Option Four:

Put on a pair of jeans with grey tank. Add jacket.

 

 

Option Five:

 

Wear legging jeans (I wore these on Oprah!) with grey tank and vest. Match with edgy boots.

The clothes are amazing but how does she think average people will be able to afford those clothes,especially with what's going on with the economy...That Juicy jacket is over $400.

Oooh i loved that jacket too! The wide leg jeans are sweet too but look best on women with long legs. Considering that I am five foot four, I have to stay away from pants with too wide of legs. Bootcut are better for us short gals ;)

 

Gwyneth has always been one of my favorite actress/fashion icons. Actually, admittedly, I knew about her loooong before I knew about Chris. I didn't really discover Coldplay until this year, so before this year, Chris was Gywneth's "husband." Of course, now he's "Chris" to me and I love them both! I think they make one of the finest and classiest celeb couples out there... and the fact that they don't sell their marriage, children and love to the media all the time makes me like them even more :D (Take notes, Tom Cruise!)

I think she was probably just giving us fashion ideas. I don't think she was expecting us all to go out straight away and buy everything on the list... I think it was just her giving us ideas and allowing us to go on and create our own versions from what she was displaying (whether or not they were the same brands).

Ya i really dont get why alot pf people dont like her!!
