One of the best bands of the last 20 years... Their latest album was extremely weak and disappointing. By The Way and Californication were wonderful and Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik is a masterpiece.

 

John Frusciante is by far one of the greatest guitar players of all time. I have been fortunate enough to see RHCP twice and actually meet Frusciante and Chad Smith.

 

I don't think SA was a remotly weak album, Frusciantes guitar work throughout was superb, I do agree that it was too long though, there were some songs on it I didn't like which is very rare for me to say on any of their albums.

^ It was pretty good. A little too much cussing and swearing for me, but it still was an overall winner. You could tell that Flea was a genuine fan of their music.

would it be rock n roll without the swearing? i was dissapointed how they beeped it all out very annoying. they should of had an uncensored webcast or something.

Because his solo music is so beautiful and amazing and the more he makes of it the better.Of course it would be sad to see them break up and I wouldn't want them to I just love his solo work :D

Their last album in my eyes was too long, but By the way and Californication are 2 great albums.

He seems to have no problem doing both. My understanding is that he writes and works extensively, so there should be no shortage of solo material.

I love Stadium Arcadium. For the longest time I was addicted to that song "Desecration Smile." I thought he was starting to sound a bit like Neil Young... and I loved that. Anthony's voice gets better with time. For a lot of artists it's the other way around. (They get worse or they strain their vocal chords and their career's over).

i always preferred the second disc (mars). i got over Jupiter quite quickly.

I really wouldn't want them to split up, but I would rather they did than him be there and not be happy to be if that makes sense?, I don't think it will come to that and of course I look forward to their next album.

He made it sound so special right from his heart plus the awesome language and choice of words during the description. I believe hes been a fan since 84,so it must have been overwhelming for him.

best news i have heard in a LONG LONG TIME! the new album will most probably be pretty average but i dont care. they have enough great music to put on the best show on earth.

Stadium Arcadium was not average i dont think.

You cant have Wet Sand and Tell Me Baby on an album and it be average :P

 

I have faith in them. Its most likely not going to be another Californication. But still your right, either way they will put on more epic shows :D
