ApproximatelyInfinite
i saw it once in HD when i was walking through the apple store one day and was MESMERIZED. that's what made me want to play it on my own TV :D
miss capa
I need to get myself a high def TV and play it on that...I now know what I want for Christmas '08 :sneaky:
chuck kottke
I could go either way. Amish or HighTech - I'm not sure which is the better path. In the one sense, the simple life has it's appeal; but then that gets dull, and it's nice to see the dazzling world. Maybe there will be a better way in the future? I think Coldplay voices this ambivalence we all have today.. Anyhow, high definition TV sounds great - how many train robberies will I need to have accomplished to buy one of these gems??:laugh3:
miss capa
Depends what cabin you're stealing from... Economy- Well, they all tend to be off guard and usually only have a max of $100 in their wallets so I'd say about 150 Business- Do trains have a business class? First- People on first class dont usually bring their wallets...say about 10, because you have a 4/10 of getting some wallet with a credit card in it... Woah, I have more criminal knowledge than I thought,,,

miss capa
I can't listen to music and read, cus I'll end up putting the book down to focus only on the song... BTW, even though this isn't a Coldplay themed thing; I warn you do NOT listen to Muse when you are trying to fall asleep, is doesn't work...:dozey:
Tnspieler1012
Lol. Interesting comment about X&Y being a good night-time album. I thought it'd be the most exhausting of the bunch. I think parachutes is the most soporific one. Tracks like don't panic, sparks, trouble, parachutes, we never change etc. have a very mellow vibe that individuates the album. Even spies, everything's not lost and high speed have a smoothness about them.

ApproximatelyInfinite
^i actually said parachutes :). i agree with everything you said!! does anyone think its lame to do your hand just like chris martins and go to a coldplay concert? i dont think so! the first coldplay concert i went to, like EVERYONE did it and i wish i had thought to do it, but then the second one i went to i decided against drawing it on my hand because i was with my friend who would have thought it was lame. but the next time i go i think i will, even though chris probably will be writing something new on his hand by then. Starlight
The local alternative radio station in Philly had these end-of-the-year polls, and according the polls the most anticipated album of 2008 was Coldplay!! :D This made me happy. There are Coldplay fans in Philly! :P http://yrockonxpn.org/yearendpoll.php MOST ANTICIPATED NEW MUSIC IN 2008 1 Coldplay 2 Weezer 3 Ben Folds 4 Gnarls Barkley 5 REM 6 U2 7 Raconteurs 8 Franz Ferdinand 9 Green Day 10 The Cure

ApproximatelyInfinite
ok, i just thought of something that, if it happens, i will cry my eyes out for months. i'm planning to go study abroad in london starting fall 2009 and ending in the summer of 2010. IF COLDPLAY'S TOURING AMERICA DURING THIS TIME AND HASNT BEEN HERE BEFORE THEN, I WILL DIE. ditto for radiohead. IF I MISS THEM SIMPLY BECAUSE I'M IN THE WRONG COUNTRY, I WILL GO ON A RAMPAGE. before i didnt much care when LP4 came out, as long as it's sometime in 2008 and they TELL US NOW so i can count down to it rather than guessing so much. but now i want them to release it ASAP so they can get their asses touring so i can SEE THEM without missing them. ApproximatelyInfinite
i put on my AROBTTH record yesterday and skipped over politik to get to IMP, but my record player was on the wrong speed and it played IMP really fast. it actually sounded pretty damn good on 45 RPM rather than 33, until the vocals came in. i'm not once for people sounding like chipmunks, no matter how good the music is. Guest Grace
^ makes me remember of that snippet off "Live 2003" when they played that up-tempo version of "Trouble". man, i loved that.

ApproximatelyInfinite
^hahah, not like that! this was more like...IMP on speed. literally. but it sounded remarkably cool! like even happier than it does when its played normally. ^^and even though i worked out that they were doing an electric version of trouble the first time i saw the tour diary, for some reason for several times after i would completly forget what song they weredoing when i watched it and would think "omg, i know this is familiar...what is it?!" until chris started singing the words. i really can be thick. Starlight
like even happier than it does when its played normally. Hehe when I read that I smiled. :D Because it's one of the most happiest songs in the world to me. Everytime I hear it, no matter what is going on in life, I feel like things are gonna be okay and content. I could have the worst day ever and I play it and I feel better again.
