  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

I was ta Applebees last night aand while I was eating Green Eyes came on. I was so happy. I said to my Mom "do you know who this is?" and she said "No". I could not believe it. So I told here and she just rolled her eyes. How dont you know who it is:rolleyes:

^^^^ That happened to me once at applebees. Clocks came on and i started tapping the drum beat on the table. My mom just gave me a weird look. :laugh3:

That awesome:lol:

I watched the Live 8 DVD set today, well, the first of five discs... my favorite one... why? because first there is McCartney singing with U2 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, then U2, and then!!! Coldplay... then with Richard Ashcroft... best first disc... with the best of all... Coldplay, missing them alot! And I wished I was in Hyde Park that day!

Today I was at the video store looking for DVDs to watch when people come over tomorrow (for my birthday!!) and I rented Cellular mainly because one of the actors is Chris Evans and one of the characters is something Martin... Coincedence? I think not..

theres a small photo of coldplay in the new rolling stone! (with the naked girls from grindhouse on the cover) its towards the back, on the "DOWNLOADS" page. it made me happy.

and HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUY!!!!!!!

it was my senior skip day today (a school tradition where all the seniors skip school and party etc) and i partied hearty for guy!

This will be slightly long because it details all the Coldplay things that happened on my 18th birthday yesterday (fri 13).

Well... when the time was midnight I still had to wash up the dishes... So I listened to AROBTTH album while washing (only got partway through though). It was nice to welcome in my birthday with Coldplay!

In the morning I texted the radio station I listen to (nova 96.9) to ask if they could play Clocks. I was very polite ("may you please") and I even threw in the fact that it was my bday... Well, the presenter about 30mins later mentioned that an "oldie from 2002" was coming up and I got excited coz it meant they'd be playing Clocks. Then later Justin Timberlake was played and the presenter said that soon the song that JT listens to before going on stage to perform would be played and she said it's by Coldplay... And then after an hour... They played Yellow.I was still happy because it's still Coldplay but, well, I asked for Clocks! And doesn't JT listen to clocks before his shows, not yellow? Ah well. I still sent them a thankyou text.

THEN, and here's the biggie, I was opening my presents and my family have ordered me the singles vinyl boxset!!!! WOW! I was sooo happy. I don't even know if our record player works though so I have to test that. And my sister had typed up this booklet kinda thing to tell me what they had gotten me and on the front was this signed picture of them that she'd copied from the internet and it just made me smile so much.

One of my sisters got me a jacket, top and one of the unofficial band biography DVDs ("Back to the Start") but she has to return the DVD because I already have it. And one of my friends wrote something about how she misses how when we were at school I used to talk so much about Coldplay in my bday card from her.

Anyway, sorry for the massive post but I just had to say it all.

^^ Nice gifts! :D

Went to the mall yesterday with my mom, and what a Coldplay filled day it was...

First I stopped at the Apple Store and they were playing Speed of Sound, then I headed over to Sports Authority and while I was trying stuff on, after Wonderwall, The Hardest Part came on. Then driving home Speed of Sound came on the radio. Finally the best part, my sister gives me the receipt from ordering me the Singles Box Set... :D

^i cant wait till my singles set comes! its shipping out next friday, so i wont get it until the middle of the week after next...

was watching that new show on showtime last night, the Tudors with jonathan rhys-meyers (ooher), and one of king henry's main servant dudes looks SOOOO much like chris!!! (the actor does, i mean). he has the same eyes and the same coloring and the same type of hair and the same beardy thing. his nose and mouth are different, but oh man, he could be his BROTHER.

if you can, check out the show. its good anyway, and theres a chris look-alike!

I was in the school play and I played a student so I got to wear my regular clothes. We performed for three nights, and I got to wear my Coldplay shirt three nights in a row. :smug: :P

Awh, my favorite Coldplay shirt shrunk, and is kinda short on me (I like looong shirts) So I put a orange polka dot shirt under it, and its the cutest thing ever:nice:Coldplay should make girlier shirts.

Mine is the girliest I have seen...

speaking of coldplay shirts...

the picture of our class will be taken on monday and i wonder if i should wear my coldplay shirt then.

i

There are three Thailand foreign exchange students working with me for the next three months and you know what I had to do.... that's right, burn em some Coldplay music... got to spread the word of Coldplay! Well, they really liked the music and asked for more! Spread the music, spread the love! :)

I have the purple version of that shirt! I'm wearing it now...

Today I turned on my radio and they were playing Clocks! At first I thought it was finishing but it was in the middle. I came in just before "Confusion never stops". It made me so happy!

my friend just got her brand-new laptop for college and i was poking around on it and started playing music through her new itunes. of course i picked coldplay. her new computer was christened with coldplay music. and then a bunch of people started singing along to "shiver" in the student center, which was nice.

on thursday one of my friends (who i used to have a huge crush on) said he was going to play a coldplay song at the amnesty international coffeehouse on friday night. i gasped and got way too excited, but then i calmed down and asked which song, and he said he didnt know yet. so last night at the coffeehouse i was waiting like crazy to hear him play one...and he didnt. but he did play a wonderful version of the postal service/iron & wine's "such great heights"

and yesterday we were taking a history test in class and i looked up while taking it at my friend. he was hunched over his test, but underneath his button-down dress code shirt, he was wearing his coldplay tshirt, and all i could see of it was chris's face peeking out over the collar of his nice shirt. it made me laugh.

sooo...watching the tudors again, and this is the guy im talking about:

10m.jpg

his name is kristen holden-ried, and i think he looks EXACTLY like chris. apparently he's very gay, though, so no hope for us girls.

The pic didn't show up on my computer but I searched him in imbd and he does look very similar, although older.

I have no random Coldplay thoughts to report except that my boxset should be here in a couple of weeks and that my lil bro keeps looking at the computer screen and seeing something Coldplay-related and saying "Coldplay!" in an annoying 'I can't believe you're on a Coldplay-related site' kind of way. I forgive him though.

my box set should be here this week!!!!

im doing research for school about presidential (US) assassinations, and i typed in "zero theory" into the search box of wikipedia, because thats the name of a theory about presidential assasinations, and i got automatically redirected to the wiki page on the X&Y album because one of the possible names for it was zero theory. i found this funny.

I was reading The Daily Telegraph today and one of the articles was about the songs that Peter Garrett (former rocker and now MP) recommends to shower to (as we are running low on water) and he had a little comment for each song. It was a list of 10 and number 8 is:

8. Don't Panic: Coldplay

(length 2:17, litres 21)

"We certainly do live in a beautiful world."

I was really happy to see Coldplay on his list.

I was really happy when I heard "Trouble" played as background music for the Trip to Africa film on American Idol tonight... and to hear Chris' voice... yes, how fitting for AI to use CP for the Africa segment... loved it!

^ Haha... you know what that kinda reminds me of? On Extras when Chris was saying to have Trouble playing in the background as they show the starving children.
