Yep, in comparison to last night's game, the cards ain't been out much with just the one yellow to T Barnetta.

Australia did good!! They made it to the best 16 tams. That's cool.

Italy disapointed. And I didn't watch everything because it bored me.

And if we can blame the ref for giving the red card I wouldn't blame him so easely for the penalty.

they have one second to decide... it's not so easy.

just came bcak home...watched the game on a big screen, the fans are completely disappointed...i didn't expect that the Swiss will be that tired and will shoot the penalties that bad..god, i've never seen a team shooting penalties as terrible as SUI did today..........

The Swiss are worse at pens than england;)

However, the Italian penalty was a joke, as the Italian player made sure he "fell" over Lucas Neil. Typical Italian performance, I'm afraid.;)

They're the masters at diving - I think they might even have invented it!:P

Of course he made sure to fall on him, I think any other player (including Aussies) would have done it, but the foul was there, maybe a little bit generous, but as the referee has been so fiscal with his red card, he did the same with that foul...Aussies have nothing to complain about, you have also to score in order to win a match and they didn't even being one man more for more than 40 minutes.

We didn't play well and of course many compliments to Aussies are right to be done

 

but I'm soooooo happy we kicked Guus Hiddink's ass after four years :dance::dance::dance::dance:

 

oh and by now the only team who really deserved to be in the final 8 is Germany, all the other teams suffered to gain the result so at least be coherent ;)

That red card was so highly expected it's not funny. That player (can't remember his name) had it coming since the start with his attitude and the ref finally snapped.

There were also at least 3 fouls against Italy not payed that I'm sure most people noticed.

 

And I'd like to add that I love Schwarzer, some of those saves were excellent. And he has a very large amount of leadership that he continually shows.
