January 24, 200521 yr Thats the beauty; he released 2 albums at the same time. "I'm Wide Awake" is soft, and "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn" is a harder album

February 4, 200521 yr maybe you didnt give it a chance? I'll admit his voice is scratchy, but his lyrics are amazing. It took a while for me to get into him. Once I could hear the words clear enough I was hooked.
February 4, 200521 yr I did give it a chance, I had like 30 mp3 of his on my computer, I really did give it a try, and I deleted it shortly after. He just strikes me as one of those artists that everyone likes if they are 'indie', and I am beyond that.
February 4, 200521 yr I definitely love Bright Eyes, I'm actually going to see him on 23rd of this month, and the best thing, he is going to play the tinies venue in this world! Which is fantastic! *I am a sucker for tiny venues...   *

Ditto. allmusic.com wrote what I think is a pretty good review of his two new albums. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:elf5zfh4eh4k If I have to read one more gushing newspaper column that has the balls to compare Conor Oberst to Bob Dylan... I'm probably going to have a strong negative reaction. Seriously, though, nobody's allowed to compare ANYBODY to Bob Dylan unless they've written about two dozen songs that people are literally going to be singing for generations. Sorry to be all negative and poopooey in your thread, Kyle.
