me, as a completely formula one fanatic, needs an f1 thread for 2007.

so, who will you bet on?

mhh... it's gonna be a whole situation in every single way.

michael is gone (i'm still not over it!), kimi will drive for ferrari and fernando for mclaren mercedes.

it's definitely going to be rather interesting, huh?

and of course i'm looking forward to see how all the teams will cope with the bridgestone tyres. will be fairly interesting, too.

I think this one will be very difficult to predict.

i woulnt have expected him to drive for ferrari. dunno why, it just doesnt seem to be the right team for him (in my opinion anyway)

i've always thought he was way too cool for that.

i mean, i love ferrari (my favourite team), but i honestly can't see kimi driving for them.

everyone at ferrari is so passionate and warm ... hehe... and kimi is that type of person that does his job, but refuses to stay there after work...

exactly, he is a brilliant driver, probably the best since schumacher retired but i somehow think it isnt gonna work well with ferrari. he should've stayed at mclaren!

argh, mclaren will go shit this season.

they've sold 30% to some guy from bahrain. they obviously need money.

but hell...why didn't they let mercedes overtake them completely?

however.

ferrari will win this season. nooo, i am not biased.

but i also think that BMW has some good chances to show what they're able to achieve in 2007.

its really difficult to make a prediction this season. i dont think räikönnen is gonna win the title with ferrari, i wouldnt mind if he did though. i'm not biased here, i dont support any of the favourites for the top teams. but things will change and they soon will be! so yeah i dont see bmw sauber winning yet (maybe a race or two) but not the title!

oh yeah, now that freakin mistake makes me look like i'm the total dork that just translated the german word. :shocked2:

however. no, i don't think BMW sauber will win any races, but i expect them to be like j. button back in 2004. he was on the podium A LOT, but still couldn't manage to win a single race in 2004.

renault... i think they're still pretty good, but their drivers are not as good as e.g. mclaren mercedes' drivers.

fisichella hasn't shown what that he's able to win a race on his own so far. and kovallainen... dunno... he seems to want too much.

but yeah, i'd still bet that räikkönen will win the title. pretty insane. it's his first year at ferrari... whatever.

can't forget honda. perhaps they're as good as the others again. would be nice to see jense back on the podium.

Kimi Raikkonen. He's obviously the most talented driver and he'll be unstoppalble once he finally gets a reliable team like Ferrari. In my opinion, that's all he needs to become WC. I understand what you're all getting at with his attitude but i suppose that won't be a problem until Ferrari stops producing fast reliable cars. Right now, all Ferrari needs is someone talented to drive their fast car, and i think Kimi's the one who'll make it happen.

 

In other news, I read an article about Jensen Button making a bold statement about winning WC this year which makes me wonder how Honda's going perform this year, and the switch to Bridgestone tyres is definitely going to be interesting, along with the major driver line-up changes with MSchu gone, Alonso to Mclaren, Kimi to Ferrari. The one thing i know for sure is that i can't wait for the season to begin :)

but that's the cool thing about this season...

everything's open and everything's new. will be weird at first without michael though.

the thing is that kimi does deserve to be successful this year.

he's had a lot of problems with mclaren mercedes as we all know.

its alright, my first language is german so i can understand why them mistakes happen.

 

i do think they might be able to win a race or two, not if all teams finish the race obviously but theres always a few special races. but i'd be happy if they had many podium positions next seson tbh.

 

renault are a decent team. i'm not saying they're gonna win the title but they're still a top team.

 

dunno, i'd say räikönnen would win the title if he hadnt changed the team. the fact that he joined ferrari (even though they are a brilliant team) makes me think he might not.

 

and i totally agree with you about honda and button. i do believe that he's gonna be very sucessful in the future. honda probably arent as good as ferrari, mclaren and renault yet but i do believe that they might be more sucessful in certain races, which would influence the world championship.

 

i know haha. my male friends always tell me that i'm gonna be a great wife because i watch formula one and football and i actually enjoy it. not so sure about that.

oh yeahooo. i love f1, but many guys i know don't.

i even know some dudes that don't like football (yes, they do exist! :shocked2: )

sf drs decided not to show formula one anymore. this is incredibly annoying because everyone who lives in switzerland has to pay for this channel. formula one is one of the most watched sports and they decide not to show it anymore. wtf? their programme's crap anyway and its the only thing i've ever watched apart from news and football.

 

plus we dont get orf 1 anymore. i really hope that wont happen with rtl otherwise we wont even be able to watch f1 live. :dozey:

I voted for Button just out of hope. I gotta support the Brit again. I mean... Yeah... I don't think he'll win - and I doubt he'll ever in Drivers Champ but I have to hope he has a good year and improves more to mount a serious challenge year after. Hasn't he said that his car isn't good enough or somethin?

^ well, the Honda doesn't seem to be able to win, but it's definitely got one of the coolest designs ever...

 

what about the other Brit Lewis Hamilton?

i guess his chances to win are a bit better than Jenson's since he's sitting in a McLaren-Mercedes..
