I HATE paparazzi.

Why can't they leave celebs alone?

How bad does it have to be for Chris Martin to get that pissed off at someone?

Why can't those vultures leave people alone?

Yea paps are stupid!Get a real job!!Its wierd seeing Chris mad though!!Its amazing just in general how mad he can get!!I know he was protecting his wife.

hellz yeahhh!

go chrissypoo

or should i say... badass chris

Chris Martin attacks a paparazzi..

This is a video that i found in my "Google Alerts : Coldplay"

It's ok that Chris got mad because the paparazzis follow him and Gwyn everywhere..

but he shouldn't have done that :(

A savage new video featuring footage of Coldplay star Chris Martin attacking a paparazzo has hit the Internet.

The mild-mannered singer is seen chasing down a photographer trying to get shots of his wife Gwyneth Paltrow as she left a New York hospital earlier this week

With an anorak hood covering his face, angry Martin repeats, "Have some respect," as he wrestles the photographer to the ground and snatches his camera.

But the snapper's pal retaliates as Martin climbs into the back of an awaiting silver sports utility vehicle, and hisses, "You give it (camera) back to him or this door's getting broken."

The British rock star sees sense and hands the camera back, calmly stating, "You've gotta have some respect."

The footage has been posted on various U.S. news websites.

Paltrow checked into New York's Mount Sinai Hospital on Monday (14Jan08), where she was treated for something "very personal," according to her spokeswoman.

Unconfirmed reports suggest Paltrow is pregnant with her third child.

there are two sides to this. He obviously overreacted and should have taken the camera away. He could have just said a few curse words and moved on. But on the other hand, his wife was leaving the hospital, give the man some space!

Yeah, Chris' reaction isn't unfounded..but he should have known better because now it will be given more attention than it would have been given in the first place.

i don't know either i'm backing chris cause coldplay but i don't think that he's wrong...

i saw the video but i don't see any bad reviews bout it.. (maybe all of the viewers are coldplayers..)

umm..nevaehdreamz-- luv your sig!!!

tried to restrain myself but do you want know what i think, folks?

i think chris overreacted and he should have stayed calm just like gwyn did. because: where are those pics from that paparazzo chris knocked down?

never saw one. looks like they worked together and chris unfortunatly took it too seriously. i think he just should have ignored those brainless idiots instead of reacting on them.

plus: gwyn aaaaaaalways got attention by paparazzi since her love-life is so ... how can i express it? interesting.... :\? (got to admit i absolutley don't like her respectless talking about her exes)

i think, no I BELIEVE if chris' wife was an unknown woman of real life no-one would have interests in catching a snapshot of him/her/both THIS much. why i think so? look: i've never seen jonnys wife, never faced wills wife...or take another singer i.e.: richard ashcrofts wife....thom yorkes wife....bono's better half? where ARE they??? do they exist anyway? :P

what if bono's wife was andie mcdowell for example? or guy would be married to jLo?...don't punch me, i mean it only as a minds-game to see why this maritn-paltrow marriage is sooo interesting to the paps. ;)

chris should finally accept that it is gwyn the paps are interested in and him as her hubby. isn't it so? i mean it would be much more healthy to his heart for which i really care because it usually seems so wise to me.

he shouldn't "protect" his wife anymore cause she NEEEEEEDS this attention (i've neverever seen her this mad about anyone taking pics of her! did anyone of you? to me she seems to enjoy it in some way plus she seems a bit bothered about chris' tempers. correct me if i should be wrong. please do it!!)

thanks for reading my thoughts...:\

I don't blame him for doing that, I probably would have done the same thing.

And Chris remained relatively calm.. he didn't punch him or something.. he just pushed him a little and that guy fell :P

Let's just hope people won't overreact when they see this and make a big deal out of it. Chris reaction was normal, especially when Gwyneth has some sort of sickness. The last thing you want to hear from someone than is "Congratulations"... :(

Sounds like it to me! I would want to do the same, if they kept bugging me as well!

I think what we often take for granted is our right to privacy, and what that really means. There are good reasons people have a right to privacy at times; even a right to be left-alone in public! It would drive me nuts to have some camera fanatic 24/7 taking pictures.. Plus, if you've had a bad day, imagine how extra-annoying that could be. I say, good for Chris! Sock it to em!!;)

only the groupies can justify chris,he can do EVERYTHING and he still a "OH MY GOD" in your eyes.

he was in a public space, not inside his home.

protecting from what ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

You know, that's actually true 'cause they always refer to him as 'Gwyneth Paltrow's husband'. I think Chris realizes he's doing wrong not by what the other guy is saying to him but because the other guy gets up and goes after him, luckly he was only going back for his camera and not to you know..fight him back (what headline would that make.... 'Chris Martin gets beat up by the paparazzi').

Also, everyone that says that the paparazzi shouldn't follow them and take so many pictures of him and blablabla. You know that we all enjoy seeing pictures of our celebrities 'cause if it's not the paparazzi it's the fans taking pictures..

But overall that guy should have just you know taken a picture and that's it.. but he said 'Congratulations' exactly to what? That Gwyneth was on the hospital for days? Jerk!

good question!

OK, not to rain on your parade or anything, but it doesn't take a Coldplay "fanatic" to defend Chris on this one. His behavior may not have been appropriate, but it is understandable. Use your commen sense. Pregnancy rumors. Sudden hospitalization for a short period. Gwyneth looking frail and distraught at the start of this video that shows her leaving the hospital. Unfortunately, it seems that the miscarriage rumors may be true, and that is what Chris was defending his wife from--invasive photographers at a horrible time in their lives. I have no idea if you are old enough to understand, but going through a miscarriage is a very emotional experience. And, even if it was some other medical situation, the fact that Chris wanted his wife to be left alone during her discharge from the hospital is certainly understandable. Haven't you ever gotten really pissed off at some idiot who was being completely unsympathetic to your emotional trauma? I have, but I don't have people following me around filming it and then posting it on YouTube after selling it to gossip shows. The jerk at the hospital who tipped off the gossip rags to Gwyneth's admission to begin with should be real proud of him or herself. It may not be a shining moment that Chris or his fans are necessarily proud of, but if you are human, it seems pretty easy to understand the emotion behind his behavior. And I don't believe you have to be a Coldplay fanatic to have that understanding. Chris didn't want his wife any more upset than she already was. He loves his wife, and he defended her right to some privacy during a difficult time. "Have some respect." Rather says it all for me. I'm only sad to know that they seem to be going through a hard time right now.

are you serious ?

or you are just another chris martin groupie ?

There's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong in what he said

Well, I'm not a crazed chris martin groupie (more of a Jonny girl myself) but I understand completely how, in those circumstances, that kind of sly insensitive comment is more upsetting that if the guy had shouted abuse directly at Chris.

I think to understand why Chris might had been upset at the 'congratulations' comment you have to put yourself in his shoes. For all the guy knew Gwyneth may have been seriously ill or even lost a baby. Imagine if you or your partner (don't know if you are a girl or boy) had lost a baby, or just found out some really bad news about your health, or even just had a terrible health scare, the last thing you would want is someone baiting you with insensitive comments. And that is what the guy was doing - he was baiting Chris for a comment or reaction in the hope of finding out what was wrong with Gwyneth, so he could sell the story to the papers.

The guy wasn't actually giving his congratulations - he had no idea why she was there - so it wasn't remotely sincere. His comment was motivated by money and it is that motive that makes his comment upsetting. Not the words itself. It boils down to one person trying to profit from another person's misfortune.

You wouldn't make that kind of comment to a friend, or even a stranger, if they had just been rushed to hospital for an unknown reason. You would, hopefully, be more sensitive. I'm not saying Chris should have reacted that way. It would have been better if he hadn't. But I think people here are just saying that they can understand why he did and can empathise with the way he must have been feeling at the time.

You don't know wtf are you talkin about

would you please watch the vid again? and take a close look at gwyneth and only on her? also check out pics of her and chris and how does she look and how does he look? and whenever she looks like she is pissed of by paparazzi taking pics of her would you pleeeease post this pic - for me?

you know, to me she didn't seem a touch of a bit of a glimpse annoyed like chris did. she just got into the car ignoring those idiots, didnt she? i mean dont get me wrong, i am old enough and life made me wise so far plus i can clearly see, that he loves her very much, still.

i really have gotten pissed of by an idiot (or more) many times many years ago and they made me wanting to kill though i am such a nice peaceful person. but you cannot argue with idiots, believe me you cant! you'll always lose that game when you have a teaspoon more of brain in your head. idiots are idiots and should be left alone with their idiots-games.

so this is my best experience: leave such infantil idiots alone to themselves, dont show any reaction and try to forget as fast as possible that people like this exist. this keeps you calm, young and fresh instead of hateful, ugly and sick. trust me.

or did it ever help you when you tried to argue with wankers? (if yes could you please tell me how you did that?)

the photographer just said "congratulations" because probably he thought she was pregnant again, damn guys y'all are not open minded

the photographer just said "congratulations" because probably he thought she was pregnant again, damn guys y'all are not open minded

Well, I don't think that photographer was there to offer a friendly congratulations. He was there to make a dime. And while I think it would've been better for Chris to just ignore him and get in the car I can see why Chris reacted the way he did.

If the photographer and videographer had just kept their mouths shut there wouldn't be a video of Chris beating down the photog because Chris would've probably just gotten in the car. That is the real reason the guy said congratulations - to get a reaction out of Chris so they'd have something to sell to the gossip rags.
