in the past couple of weeks i’ve been getting a band together for fun to play the eraser stuff live and the new songs etc.. to see if it could work!

here’s a photo.. its me, joey waronker, mauro refosco, flea and nigel godrich.

 

at the beginning of october the 4th and 5th we are going to do a couple of shows at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

we don’t really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz ..well …we haven’t got that much material yet!

but come and check it out if you are in the area. we’ve also got locals Lucky Dragons playing.

some more info about Thom's performance, thanks to a member of atease:

 

Mauro Refosco is a brazillian percussionist and today gave a short interview for an important publication in Brazil, talking about his new work with Thom Yorke. Here are the interesting bits I translated:

 

- He was working with David Byrne in London when met Thom in june and Thom was thinking in doing some shows in LA and wanted to try to work The Eraser material with a group of musicians.

 

- Jay Waronker suggested his name.

 

- They will play ALL songs from The Eraser, one from Radiohead and four NEW songs, says it will be at least 75 minutes of music.

 

- Said the Eraser songs are very difficult to pull off, they got a 'pop' feel but are very complicated. They are rehearsing for three weeks now. Some details are being worked as they play because are difficult.

 

- Thom didn't want compromise at first because he didn't know if they would be able to pull off the songs the way he wanted, but wanted to play with the musicians anyway.

 

- They don't have a name and have no plans to be making another shows in the future, for now it is just for fun.

 

- Refosco's band - Forro In The Dark - will be releasing a new album in october as well.

more news about thom's show and what they're playing. Apparently there's an article that says what songs they're playing. We know they're doing all of the Eraser but also the new single Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses, The Hollow Earth, and also the Radiohead song is Paperbag Writer! AHHH! :dance: this is so exciting! So now this mean they will be playing 2 more songs both new... I wonder what they are and if one of them is the new thom song Hearing Damage
