March 21, 200818 yr They'd better make every song they've mentioned that doesn't make it onto the album a B-side. Seriously.
March 21, 200818 yr ^i hope so too. especially because we know about them, it'll be great if we get to hear ALL the songs they've told us about in some form! EDIT: ah, and you beat me to that one!
March 21, 200818 yr *tries to race but loses by about...7 minutes* damn. i wonder if ANY of us are going to be right about the tracklisting. i don't have the energy to mathematically work out the number of possible track combinations, but i bet it's HUGE. i doubt any of us will get it spot-on, but someone's bound to be close.
March 21, 200818 yr 1. Yes! 2. Cemeteries of London 3. Famous Old Painters 4. Lost! 5. 42 6. Death and All His Friends 7. Chinese Sleep Chant 8. Strawberry Swing 9. Life in Technicolor + Song For The Escapìst
March 21, 200818 yr ^^No I don't think we'll get it spot on, and I'm willing to bet that they're going to throw in a track that we've never heard before as well. Because that's just so... Coldplay.
March 21, 200818 yr The should seriously do a b-side or unreleased tracks album. That would be so awesome to hear songs weve never heard before.
March 21, 200818 yr ^you've just described my ultimate dream. actually, my ultimate dream is to sneak into their vault and hear EVERYTHING, but an unreleased tracks album would be incredible!
March 21, 200818 yr ^you've just described my ultimate dream. actually, my ultimate dream is to sneak into their vault and hear EVERYTHING, but an unreleased tracks album would be incredible!Thats totally insane, but if you ever find a way to bust in there, call me up would ya? :D

March 21, 200818 yr Judging from the website we saw, I think we can assume Chinese Sleep Chant, Death and All his Friends and Famous Old Painters are on the record. My guess for the "core" six Rolling Stone mentioned are: - Death and All His Friends - Chinese Sleep Chant - Famous Old Painters - Yes - 42 - Cemeteries of London

March 22, 200818 yr In no particular order: 42 Strawberry Swing Death And All His Friends Chinese Sleep Chant Yes Life In Technicolor Prospekt's March Glass Of Water Lost! + Reign of Love Violet Hill is a promo and Song For the Escapist is likely to be released seperately. If I were to put them in order, note I am very bad at ordering; [1] Lost! [2] Chinese Sleep Chant [3] Glass of Water [4] Yes [5] Death and All His Friends [6] 42 [7] Life in Technicolor [8] Prospekt's March [9] Strawberry Swing + Reign of Love Sounds about right... I'm not that sure, usually I suck at these. It doesn't sound right as a whole really but by a track-by-track basis it's okay.
March 22, 200818 yr Is there a prize for the one who guesses correctly? Though I'm thinking there'll be at least 1 song on the album which they havent told us about yet.
March 22, 200818 yr Is there a prize for the one who guesses correctly? Though I'm thinking there'll be at least 1 song on the album which they havent told us about yet. you'll get your name on front page as "the one who correctly guessed the tracklisting : Coldplay says well done !" and yeah I'm sure you're right. they must have kept some secret stuffs !
March 24, 200818 yr do you remember one of the video messages where jonny said "i predict railways will be big in the future"? it's weird because that song (or title or whatever it was meant to be) was never mentionned afterwards and who knows, maybe it will have something to do with the album as well?! ;)
March 29, 200818 yr Thread closed now the first tracklisting has been published. Although not official, we will open this thread back up if it is not correct ;)
April 11, 200818 yr I know I've locked this thread to stop tracklistings being edited, but does anyone fancy working out the scores on the doors and PMing me the closest tracklisting and winner? :)
April 12, 200818 yr It appears difficult to identify a winner but here are some possibilities. Sorry for not posting just one, but they're all different: (hope you don't mind me posting your PMs! If you do just let me know and I'll edit) [thanks mimixxx, ApproximatelyInfinite, Miha & Chavi] By my first calculations I made miha the winner. She got 7 out of 10 tracks correct (8 if you count Lovers in Japan and Reign of Love as separate tracks) and was the only one to guess Viva La Vida would be a song. However johnnymax865 got 8 tracks correct without including Lovers in Japan as a separate song (if that makes sense) so he technically guessed more songs than Miha. Honourable mentions to coldplayer_rh and IneedYou23 who both got 7 out of 10 (8 out of 10 if you include yada yada)I didn't work it out very mathematically or in a very organized way' date=' but I [i']believe[/i] that coldpatrix and Ineedyou23 had the closest guessed tracklistings to the actual one. The problem is that we were all pretty wrong, and most of us included "Famous Old Painters" and didn't include "Life in Technicolor," so that threw everyone off! In that way, it's kind of really hard to go through and see who was the closest, because we were all pretty wrong. Mainly I looked at who had the right songs somewhere in their list rather than the actual order.I worked out the scores for the "guess the tracklisting" game.. To get the right results, I esteemed there were 11 songs since many of us thought Reign of love and Lovers in Japan were two distinct songs.. But there are still 10 songs when it's about guessing the number of tracks. I hope I'm clear there  So first, I say how many songs they have which are on the tracklisting, then I say if they have the right number of tracks. I wanted to compare the order of the songs but............ :dozey: IneedYou23 : 9 songs right Miha : 8 songs right + she/he is the only one who got viva la vida as a song + number of tracks correct (I think that might be the winner !!) Johnnymax865 : 8songs + number of tracks eglantine : 8 songs coldplayer_rh : 8 songs coldpatrix : 7songs + number of tracks cobalt : 7songs + number of tracks 42! :7songs + number of tracks Ravrat : 7songs matoran :7songs ricardo : 7songs owenrees_73 : 7 songs yamfox :7songs CP678 : 6songs +number of tracks rudy_o : 6songs + number of tracks 2732 : 6songs Busybeeburns : 6 songs BostonsportsTD : 6songs approximatelyInfinite : 6songs Zemy101 : 5 songs + number of tracks winigwl : 5songs + number of tracks Ness1776 : 5songs Andy14 : 4songsWell done also to Miha who was the first to predict that Viva La Vida will be its own song :)
