Your Football Highs and Lows...

For me…. England vs West Germany, even though we ended up losing on penalties we did very well… and the best performance by England's team I have seen in my memory, it even beat the 5-1 to me. We played we such pride that night…

Beating utd 3-1 in the last Derby at Maine Road with Goater getting his 100th Goal for the club as well. This ended 13 years of pain against the scum..

More recently beating the scum 2-1 at the swamp… also the moment of silence we all gave was truly memorable.

Lows…

England getting robbed by referee when we played Holland to try and qualify for the world cup in 1994. The referee gave a penalty then changed his mind.. To this day I am still miffed why this happened, he said because the 1st foul took place outside the penalty box, despite David Platt still carrying on, and was brought down again in the box…

City getting regulated to the old 1st Division on the same day the scum won the league…

Getting hammered 5-0 by the scum, and still believing at half time when we was 3- 0 down that we would come back and win.

Getting beat by the scum at home 3-2 when we was 2 -0 at half time hurt the most

the most intensive one i can remember (i have just started watching football a few years ago) was the match Germany-Argentina during the WC in 2006.

definitely a highlight.

you could feel the tension in the air.

Highs:

- The most exciting game for me has been Bayern Munich - Werder Bremen in 2004. Bremen won 3:1 and became Bundesliga champion for the first time since 1992. I still remember watching that game on one of these big screens in the city of Bremen. Two weeks later we also won the German DFB cup in Berlin against Aachen. :) What a season!

- In 1996 I have watched Germany-Czech Republic on Gran Canaria/Spain. I still remember that the Spanish tv-channel suddenly finished the broadcast without showing the ceremony. :dozey:

- WC 2006 Germany-Argentinia. I nearly got an heart attack during the penalties!!! What a game!

Lows:

- Watching WC 2002 final Germany-Brazil on Mallorca/Spain. I was sooo disappointed afterwards and when I went to the beach in the afternoon all the Spanish people were sorry for the Germans. That's why the iceman gave me a "magnum" ice for free lol. :D

- WC 2006 Germany-Italy. What a disappointment! Honestly it wasn't fair that the squealers won. :sneaky:

High:

Winning Promotion back to the top league after donkeys years

Sending Southampton down

Germany 1, England 5

There is no lows ... just highs !

I forgot to add winning the FA Cup last season to my list :P

Highs:

Gary McAllister being Liverpool's star player towards the end of the 2000/2001 season.

David Beckham v Greece - World Cup Qualifier where he played Greece single-handedly and scored that free kick.

2005 Champions League Final - Liverpool whoop whoop.

Highs: -Australia making it into the 2006 Fifa World cup

Lows: -Australia being kicked out due to the penalty awarded to Italy during the knock-out stage

Highs : Internazionale winning Serie A in 2007.

Real Madrid winning La Liga in 2007.

France vs Brasil World Cup 2006, amazing match by Zidane. I'll never forget that match!

Lows:

France vs. Italy, France losing, Zidane gets red card.

GT actually always comes across as a very nice guy who cares passionately about the game.;)

Highs: Internacional 1 x 0 Barcelona (2006 FIFA Club World Cup)

Grêmio 2 x 2 Atlético Paranasense (2004 Brazilian League) [those basterds went to the Second Division for the second time! :laugh3: :sneaky:]

Low: Internacional 2 x 1 Nacional (2007 Libertadores da América) [we were eliminated at the Group Stage )

Just out of curiosity, is there anyone here that supports Barcelona so I can mock them? :sneaky:
