as i am always a person who always doesn't believe a word in all gossip or tabloids writing at all i am very happy and feel that this is a song which i can listen and feel happy.

Great preview. I like, "if you like "Violet Hill," well, then you're gonna love the album. If you hate it, well, you'll still probably love the album. " This is very exciting to hear.

I am so shocked it hasn't leaked....

My expectations for this album are actually quite realistic compared with what they were for X&Y. Don't get me wrong, I really look forward to hearing it... but I've heard so much great music lately other than Coldplay. I might watch the Live 2003 DVD documentary again later tonight to gear up.

I know!! I expected it to sense it's right around the corner but yet.... it's less than a day for the world premiere and still...nothing.

"Violet Hill" opens with the barely there bubbles of synthesizer-and-guitar fuzz, a quiet clamor that starts off down a dark hallway, then slowly fills the open space, building into a wall of gauzy, all-encompassing white noise (that's a common theme on Viva) that grows to massive — yet minimal — proportions (that's another theme) before being punctured by frontman Chris Martin's winsome falsetto recalling "a long and dark December/ From the rooftops I remember there was snow."

 

That paragraph right there gave me the biggest coldgasm I've ever had in my life. Chills went through me, and htat was just after READING about it...I can't imagine what tomorrow's going to be like...

 

Again, we're not allowed to write much about Viva la Vida yet, but we can tell you that if you like "Violet Hill," well, then you're gonna love the album. If you hate it, well, you'll still probably love the album.

oh my god, i don;t know if i've ever been that excited over an article before. if anything, that just made me MORE excited, which i didnt think was possible anymore.

 

they sound like they love the whole ALBUM. it sounds like it could be LEGENDARY. it sounds like this is what we've been asking for.

 

i think i need to go find a paper bag to breathe into for the next...TWELVE HOURS EXCTLY!!

OMG I'm about to cry. I know that's pathetic and obsessive and downright freaky to some people, but we've all been waiting SO SO long and have been very patient and it's so relieving to hear from more that one source that we haven't waited in vain. I don't know how I would feel if the album didn't live up to our expectations. I don't want to find out either, and i might not have to. :D

It would be pretty cool if this forum could have a Coldplaying meetup at one of the concerts... but we're all so spread out! If I had millions of dollars on hand I'd pay for everyone plane tickets and front-seat concert tickets to the best outdoor stadium on the tour circuit.
