March 2, 201214 yr :) When the first thing you do when you wake up is say good morning to your husband, then say Happy Birthday Chris, much to your husbands confusion! LOL (his name isn't Chris, and it's not his Birthday, so you can imagine his face! LOL)... Although he is used to me and laughed.. once he'd worked out what I was on about...
March 2, 201214 yr Yeah.... well :embarrassed:  we've been married nearly 20 years .. I guess if you're not used to me by now... there's no hope! LOL..

March 2, 201214 yr Here in The Netherlands we actually congratulate each other with someone else's birthday (which is pretty ridiculous). So that's what my mum and I did this afternoon. For obvious reasons. (If you want to know more about this weird Dutch tradition, here's a funny story: http://stuffdutchpeoplelike.com/2011/11/09/birthday-congratulations-gefeliciteerd/ )
March 2, 201214 yr I did the same with my mum, haha. I had no idea it was something Dutch though! :surprised:
March 2, 201214 yr I did the same with my mum, haha. I had no idea it was something Dutch though! :surprised: Yeah I think it's a typical Dutch thing to do. I don't know any other country where they do it, but I'm not 100% sure. Can lead to really awkward situations  Edit: We have awesome mothers. ;)
March 2, 201214 yr Haha, the link you posted was pretty funny  Yeah, our mothers are pretty cool

(If you want to know more about this weird Dutch tradition, here's a funny story: http://stuffdutchpeoplelike.com/2011/11/09/birthday-congratulations-gefeliciteerd/ ) Oh my god, this site is great. I have been thinking about this when I was at a birthday. I do it too, but I also think it's kinda awkward to congratulate people who are just attending the birthday. Most of the time I only know them by face and I still feel the social pressure to kiss them. It's odd, true :laugh3:
