I already said this but Oli is really talented, the draw is awesome! :stunned:

But on the other hand, if they say yes then you know you will get on with them just fine :)

 

And Row, your son's picture looks like it's going to be awesome when finished! I wish I could have drawn like that when I was 13!

Thanks girls, I'll pass on your compiments.. and yes he is really talented.. he has dyslexia, so finds it hard to read and write, but loves drawing and is rarely found without a pencil.. and lots of paper.. :)

the dyslexia is very common in children.

maybe when it begins to take an interest in the books.

 

when I was little I could not read or write. I flunked in my second year of school (twice my second)

and then one day I'm interested to read. So I learned to read and write.

 

Dislexia is often because teachers have no patience and frightening with students .

You're right it can be a delay. But I don't think so in Oli's case. He has had lots of help from teachers and others, he goes to a good school, and he IS getting better, particularly in reading, but he finds it hard to write for any periods of time. But as you can see drawing is his forte. :D

Yeah, many who have dyslexia do just fine for themselves. I know there's been well-known actors who've mentioned dealing with it :). With talent and determination and good hard work and support, he's got nothing to worry about.

 

That drawing rocks. Even if he left it at that and didn't finish it, it's still incredible. I'm impressed.

 

ok more teacher talk for you guys in my music class we were learning about music jobs and 'Music Therapist' and one part said "Old people in nursing homes, might listen to music from there age to motivate them to exercise." and my teacher said (no lie) "When Hannah is 80 years old, and in the nursing home, shes gonna be listening to coldplay." and this one kid was like "Dont make fun of coldplay.." practically yelling it...lol i freaking LOVE my school :nod:

When you're planning a citytrip to London and you HAVE to check whether Coldplay is doing a gig during the days that you're there. And if you see that that's not the case, you seriously start considering going to the city they are in :rolleyes:

When you're waiting for your mom to pick you up after the most exhausting day (school in the morning and then 7 hours of studying non stop :bomb: ) and you finally get to listen to Coldplay while you wait and you relax and think : "I really needed that....:uhoh:..Wow, Coldplay is my cigarette!" :lol:

When your friend sings Coldplay to you even though hes not very good just to make you feel a bit better :)
