Viva La Vida (song) has been out for a while. I think originally it was scheduled to be released on the 21st, except iTunes has been selling it with the pre-order of the album. I think the statement about a single being released today was made before itunes started selling it.

nooo no no no .... the iTunes ad doesn't mean VLV is the new single!! Coldplay themselves didn't announce that!! besides, a friggin iTunes commercial is not big at all ...and someone DID say the initiative with global reach was to be announced TODAY (FedEx)

Coldplay's website was just changed/updated!

It didn't really change much, just a slight change

they just put the existing tour dates as the first page and a news ticker at the top ....nothing big
