i don think they will release another single before the album release, because prospekt said when he announce the tracklist that they hoped to release one or two singles before the album.

they did, even two (more than the minimum, very rare for coldplay!), with violet hill and viva la vida...

but who knows after all, just my opinion

For some reason, I don't ever want to hear what Timbaland and Coldplay had planned. I feel there must have been a reason that they didn't end up working together, and it was that Timbaland was totally TIMBALANDING the Coldplay sound.

 

I mean....I live in North America, and Timbaland pretty much owns the music scene here. Just...flat out owns it. It's not only artists that want to work with him, it's bands as well.

 

But here's the thing. Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, even freaking OneRepublic all sound. EXACTLY. the same.

 

I DONT want Coldplay to have Timbaland in the background mumbling strange things.

 

But yah. My two cents. And I'd probably love Coldplay even if they DID go with Tim.

Viva La Vida is not an official single.It was never announced as an official single.It was just a track that you got from the album if you pre-ordered it on itunes.So maybe tomorrow they will announce it as an official single with b-sides or announce a different single.

If they don't release the news sometime during the morning or mid-afternoon, don't lose hope, because the Violet Hill video is premiering on TRL...which could be coupled with the news!

hmm i think everyones getting a little too hyped. coldplay never distinctly said ON MAY 21 WE WILL ANNOUNCE HUGE NEWS! they just said the third week of may there would be something announced around a single which was supposed to be realeased on may 21. and there hasnt been anthing said about the release of single tomorrow so i think there is a good chance there will be no news. i hope there is but i just dont want everyone on here flipping out if there isn't... :P

hey i never thought of that. that would be awesome. if they released a single for one of the 'big' songs they left off the album because they didnt want safety nets to fall back on or w.e. It would also be like that old prospekt post where he said some top division songs would be released independantly. hmmmm interesting!

I am not getting my hopes up, but if something does happen, it wont be posted for at least another five hours. I'm going to get some sleep and see what happens when I wake up.

It'll be ridiculous if Viva la Vida is not gonna be a single, coz it's on Apple's ad already and heavily promoted.
