Delay to Record Store Day release reaching US stores

Good evening. As previously announced, on 19 April, Coldplay will release a special 7-inch version of their new song, Midnight, for Record Store Day in the UK and Europe.

 

Unfortunately, we have just been alerted that - due to production issues and shipping times - the 7-inch will not now reach the US in time for Record Store Day.

 

We will update you with a new date for release in US stores as soon as we get one. Until then, our apologies to US fans for the delay.

International dates to mark album release

 

Good morning. The band have announced that they will mark the release of their new album, Ghost Stories, by playing six intimate shows in six cities around the world. The dates are as follows:

 

25 April - E-Werk, Cologne, Germany

 

05 May - Beacon Theatre, New York, USA

 

19 May - Royce Hall, Los Angeles, USA

 

28 May - Casino de Paris, Paris, France

 

12 June - Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan

 

01 July - Royal Albert Hall, London, UK

 

Tickets for the Cologne show will go on sale at 9am CET on Saturday, 19 April from http://www.eventim.de/coldplay.

 

Ticket information for the remaining five shows will be emailed exclusively to subscribers to the Coldplay mailing list (which can be joined here).

 

Ghost Stories will be released worldwide on Monday, 19 May. You can pre-order it now from iTunes or on CD.

Good morning. We're very pleased to report that Midnight - one of the songs from Coldplay's upcoming new album Ghost Stories - has been remixed by Giorgio Moroder. The legendary Italian electronic music pioneer’s reworking is available to download now from iTunes.

 

Also, fans who pre-order Ghost Stories from iTunes.com/Coldplay now will immediately get the album version of Midnight, as well as the single Magic.

 

Ghost Stories is released worldwide on Monday, 19 May.

Good evening. Next month, TV networks around the world will screen Coldplay : Ghost Stories, a ground-breaking prime-time special based on the band's forthcoming album. You can watch the trailer above.

 

Filmed by Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale (Adele, Rolling Stones), Coldplay: Ghost Stories was recorded in a custom-built amphitheatre in front of an audience of 800 fans. The show blends a unique in-the-round performance from the band with cinematic vignettes and immersive 360-degree projections.

US: 18 May, 7pm ET/PT - NBC

Canada: 18 May, 7pm ET/PT - NBC
