Is there some way to show Coldplay our disappreciation of all seating?

i'd rather see Coldplay seated than not at all. A bit of gratitude for all the dates and the exhausting schedule they're doing might be nice.

WELL SAID

I had to fight for the band last night in another thread

And I don't know why!

If people don't want to sit or spend money when "they could sit at home and listen to coldplay" (as someone said in another thread  ) then DO THAT!

:sweatdrop:

ty :)

the negativity was starting to get me down, and I couldn't keep quiet any longer.

they can't satisfy everybody, and have to come up with the best possible solution to keep as many people as possible happy.

a bit of gratitude, at £40 a seat?

i still dont get why they done it though, they are meant to be a rock band!

Let's start thinking positive!

We're going to see the greatest band...Coldplay (the whole reason we're on this board anyway!)

At Christmas!

With Violet-Hill-snow-filled arenas and everything!

Ooo, ooo... maybe they're going to have snowmen walking up and down the aisles handing out Christmas presents :D

Agreed, it's true, I don't care where I'm sitting all that matters is that I'm seeing Coldplay at last and I just can't wait! :D

Also agree with the fact that they do have a long schedule and they don't personally decide whether we're going to be seated or not (I doubt anyway)

Bring on December 1st, I just have to know what those Magic Balls are now! :laugh3:

10000% Agree with you. There is nothing to be positive about, im disappointed, it takes away the atmosphere when your sat down, its not a proper gig.

They have always had standing before, gigs are so much better when standing.

yup. they don't have to do all those dates. and they could charge you £100 like Elton John.

the seat price is cheap compared to artists of comparative status. and having been to see them standing & seated, and at small & large venues, I can quite easily say its just as much fun, the atmosphere still rocks, and they're still amazing

How can you dance to coldplay? You can't move with seats all around you, you aren't in a crowd and there is no crowd atmopshere. I have also seen Coldplay loads, both seated and standing. Standing is a million times better, I'm just disappointed they have excluded the standing.

Remember that they've paid out millions of pounds of their OWN money to put on three free gigs for us.

And I'm pretty sure the price hike has absolutely nothing to do with them and more to do with a certain floundering record company that needs to make some dough ;)

Oh and I prefer seating because there's nothing worse than having some pushy bitch standing on your toes and trying desperately to make sure they see better than ANYONE else. As Jenjie said, you still stand up, you just haven't got someone with their elbow in your face :)

Ok we get your point.

You don't like seating.

Stop complaining already and move on :stunned:

Flip sake.

I agree with you Mimi.. someone talking sense for a change ;)

Did you pay the money?

No.

Are you even going to be sitting at one of the best concerts of the century?

NO.

I suggest closing this thread because it's a waste of time.

Roll on 19th December.

Over and Out.

I paid the money, because I want to see Coldplay. I'm not complaining about the ticket price. Although talking about 'a band of their status' is a bit silly. And the point about us showing them a bit of gratitude for just playing is ludicrous.

But none of that is relevant. The fact is, Coldplay or no Coldplay, having a standing area is widely considered to be better. For good reason. Now, why they decided to forgo having both seats and standing for just seats is beyond me. And I think that if fans want standing, which has a far better atmosphere, even if you're sitting behind it, they should perhaps consider their fans' interests. What is wrong with thinking that?

Too right :)

Yee-haw!
