June 7, 200818 yr Not Good Enough I have to say this is crap. Why is it that the New York people know but us Brixton lot do not. I myself have just recently started a new job and cannot take a day off until I know if I am successful. Also, train tickets and hotel costs are going to be way expensive as there will be less than one week before the gig. It is just lazy - I work in IT and I can tell you to sort this out will only a few hours work. I do not buy this rubbish that the team is too busy. They knew how long it would take - so to say now they are too busy is just an excuse. Good intention - free gig But the organisation of it was just not good enough

Good intention - free gig But the organisation of it was just not good enough I couldn't agree more, and I guess many many other people agree, judging by the number of hits this thread's had since Thursday. I know they're crazy busy but they really should be on to this by now.
June 7, 200818 yr I hope this all doesn't mean that only people from the London area will win in the end. :(
June 7, 200818 yr I don't think it's that Stephie, but if I understand things the bias for NY was given to the city first, then the rest of the country. What could they be doiung - checking our given details against electoral roll registers???
June 8, 200818 yr who knows. I don't know that I trust the postal system enough for someone to send out 7000 tickets 6 days before an event. with the ticket agencies, its not all the tickets in one go, coz some send them out months before. Exactly what I was thinking. Its a bit too tight for time now, unless the tickets have already been shipped. :\
June 8, 200818 yr Morning all :) Obviously it's unlikely we'll get news today but the coldplay site seems to be down - could some sort of announcement possibly be on its way?
June 8, 200818 yr If we don't - well, this is shit :dozey: Brixton results should have been announced FIRST, then MSG.
June 8, 200818 yr Although - there's a pressure for me If they don't notify us on the Monday it will definitely mean I'm unable to go. Which will EXTREMELY suck in the very slim chances I win. This organization is bullshit.

June 8, 200818 yr ^ Yes, yes I would - VERY expensive as it is, but if they don't announce it in time, I'm in the shit.
June 8, 200818 yr ^ Yes, yes I would - VERY expensive as it is, but if they don't announce it in time, I'm in the shit. My goodness, that's dedication, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I've just had a PM from a member from Eastern Europe asking aboutr the tickets. I'm starting to think there must be (hundreds of?) thousands of entries from abroad. If something isn't done very soon indeed none of these folk will be able to go, and the gig will be half-empty, or worse. What the devil are they playing at? Coldplay.com is back up and no changes. Anyone who wasn't reading this here has probably assumed they haven't won, and may have made other plans for that day now - more tickets that won't be able to be used.
June 8, 200818 yr Yeah, no doubt there's thousands upon thousands of entries from distant lands also from dedicated fans for the Brixxy one (only US citizens could enter MSG) will be down the toilet. It isn't good enough - the Barcelona concert isn't that well organised as well. I mean, what the hell? MSG's entrants are all US citizens, they all have a fairly good reckoning of getting there. Brixton was open to all countries. Ridiculous. I checked coldplay.com before, it wasn't even down.. must have been only for you
June 8, 200818 yr Anyways, I'm off to bed. I'm thinking we'll have confirmation on Monday GMT... if not... :disappointed: Night night
June 8, 200818 yr OH and my internet won't let me edit my post so in the unlikely event that someone DOES get confirmation early can you PM me? :) Thank yee :3 Oh and 1500TH POST  I thought I'd share it with you guys who desperately need a reason to celebrate |D yay
June 8, 200818 yr Also celebration because it's High Speed and High Speed is the first Coldplay song I fell in love with  :dance::dance: okay i'm gone now bye bye
June 8, 200818 yr As far as I know (and do please correct me if I'm wrong:)) ticketmaster send out all their paper tickets around four or five days before a gig, and have special 'arrangements' with the post office that ensure delivery. When a band's playing somewhere like Wembley that would be many thousands of tickets too. I'm open to what you're saying Jenjie, I just can't imagine the ensuing chaos at Brixton! Those 'special' arrangements are just Special Delivery, guaranteed next day delivery.
June 9, 200818 yr You'd think it would be today wouldnt you - one week before the gig. There's probably a few 100,000 who applied for tickets I reckon, so i wouldnt say I'm ready to celebrate, but I have everything crossed. By the way Laura - Dove Abiti?
June 9, 200818 yr I know a lot of people applied for the tickets but I feel optimistic today :D I can't wait to book the flight! Anyway, I live in Padova, Italy :)
June 9, 200818 yr I know a lot of people applied for the tickets but I feel optimistic today :D I can't wait to book the flight! Anyway, I live in Padova, Italy :) Ah molto bene. Parlo Italiano Un Puo. Yes you're right, must be optimistic otherwise what's the point in applying.
June 9, 200818 yr I'm not even hoping for tickets anymore. Just for the fact that the emails will finally go out and we'll have some assurance. :D
June 9, 200818 yr Morning all! Cobalt I hope it's not too late for you and tickets come through on time. Good luck everyone :)
