:furious: Not happy about that.

Somebody should find out the identity of this person and report him.:veryangry2:

Agree - what a joke.

We live in a society dominated by greed.

That's what it is, plain and simple.

People have been chewing nails, checking emails and generally working themselves up for this competition. Then comes along some muppet who doesnt give a toss advertising tickets on ebay.

Its the ultimate kick in the balls.

They should really illegalise this kind of thing.:veryangry:

That just sums it up :Bigcry:

Is this person seriously going to fly all the way over from Italy, at this late notice, for a Coldplay concert only likely to last an hour??

I think not...

I would do it, and Laura said she was already arranging everything to go there, I mean, you just have to take a plane and book a hotel :)

yes, i totally agree. is there someway of reporting him or her? Its so not cool cashing in something you've never paid for in the first place!

If for whatever reason i couldn't go on Mon, i would offer them to somone on here, using some kind of democratic process, if possible!

Not that is likely to happen. I think the only thing that would prevent me from going on Mon is if something truly dreadful happened to me or my kids and i'm sure none of you want that!

Well, here we are two hours after the only confirmed time of the emails to winners (many thanks to Sandi for that). I'm ready to give up on this one.

Sandi makes some great points about how they might deal with tickets that aren't taken up - i.e. redistribute to other people who entered. That would seem fair and logical, but unfortunately not much so far about this competition has seemed very fair or logical to me...

It's heartbreaking to see tickets on ebay. You'd hope that people who can't attend would decline the tickets so other fans could get them. Anyone who tries to make a profit on them is the lowest of the low in my book. I hope people will report them to Ebay and to Debs and something can be done about it.

The name issue I'm not so sure about. We had to give our names upon entering, didn't we, so you'd expect that to appear on the tickets to prevent re-sale. If the set-up of the comp gives you 48 hours to register ANY names then we can expect a lot more tickets on ebay I should think. And that is horrendous and terribly unfair organisation.

Next time they should give tickets to coldplaying.com, where the real fans are! :P

Me too.;)

Absolutely not! We're all delighted for you and Laura, and wish only that the gig is absolutely brilliant for you!

And now you've registered your names, people won't be able to use those tickets without fake ID in those names, I think.

The email was sent at 01.27 pm (of today, 10 June))

and it says:

Dear Coldplay fan,

You have been successful in the lottery to gain two tickets to see Coldplay at the Carling Academy Brixton on Monday, 16 June 2008. You will have 48hrs from Tuesday, 10 June at 9am to apply for your tickets by clicking on the above link. Please note, there is a ticket limit of two per person.

Your unique password is: XXXXXXX. Please enter this when prompted in order to claim your tickets.

When you attend Coldplay at the Carling Academy Brixton on Monday 16th June 2008, you will be required to provide a valid photo I.D that corresponds to the name on the ticket. If you have applied for two tickets, the 2nd person must be with you on entering the venue. Failure to comply with these two conditions will invalidate the tickets and entry will be refused.

Doors will open at 6.30pm on the night. The band will be on stage any time from 8.30pm. You are advised to arrive early due to the I.D checks that will be undertaken.

I'm so happy guys! I can't believe it! I'm still shaking....

Now I just have to book the flight! My boyfriend (who is coming with me of course!) lives in London so I don't need the hotel accomodation :)

Next time they should give tickets to coldplaying.com, where the real fans are! :P

I bought tickets for the NFL game (american football) at Wembley and any tickets appearing on ebay were taken down more or less straight away.

Shame they cant do this for gig tickets.

Thanks so much for that post Laura!

1) The emails look like they went out at the same time unfortunately.

2) You can't transfer the tickets. That guy on ebay should be reported to them and Debs or someone is going to buy them and then not get in.

<edit> that listing's gone I think. Ah well, hopefully something in all of this is being done properly.

Pff why are they selling those tickets.

If I win them, and I can't go.. I give it away... not sell it.. :dozey:

Well anyway I think it's pretty safe to say now that if you haven't already heard from Coldplay HQ then you're out of luck.

Well done to the two people who have won from this site though.

Not too hopeful about the BBC gig either so roll on December (6 months away... why so long!?)

The jubilation of obtaining tickets for the o2 yesterday all of sudden turns into disappointment after missing out on this gig.

I suppose its only fair others get to see them in a small venue after I saw them at the Koko for the X&Y album launch gig.

Although i did have to queue up for nearly five hours early in the morning to get a ticket.

yeah I was at the Koko gig and I said to my brother at the time that we'd never see them in a small venue like this again. Ahh.

I'm still crossing my fingers for the BBC thing though...
