Some more shocking refereeing on display here. Should be 1-0 to Wigan. Roberto Martinez must be wondering what he has to do to get a decent set of officials.

Dortmund deservingly wins the 2nd of two games against munich, pretty much wrapping up the title. Down 1-0, Robben wins a penalty late on, gets easily stuffed by the keeper, after which Subotic talks smack an inch from his dutch, horror-struck mug. Then he (Robben) sends a sitter from the 6-yard over the crossbar in stoppage time.

FT Wigan 1-0 Man Utd, excellent latics performance throughout

disappointing for Utd, but with QPR also winning 3-0 its absolutely disastrous for Bolton and Blackburn!

Liverpool confirm that director of football Damien Comolli has left the club by mutual consent. Looks like Stewart Downing has finally got his first assist of the season!

come on villa go and make the blue half of manchester giddy

Southampton 0-1 Reading

Jason Roberts has scored again. Southampton are dominating but are being wasteful

^That guy who for some reason gets on the BBC as a pundit despite even Blackburn fans only vaguely being able to recognise him.

^ Yeah, I cant stand him. I think he's a brainless tit. Another offside goal, shocking!!! :(

dissapointed for southampton

What in the actual fuck is going on with fixtures lately, I don't know if I'll even bother watching MOTD tonight. Newcastle aren't playing this weekend, and you have Bolton who are already a game behind everyone else who also don't play this weekend, its making no sense.

Thank you Andy Carroll, you're goal to put Liverpool into the final of the FA Cup to face either Spurs or Chelsea has guaranteed Newcastle will be in Europe next year, even if it's Europe. But that winning goal was useless and he had no idea where the ball was or what he was doing, just being fair.

Carlo Tevez got a hat-trick but Aguero was more impressive.

Just watched a dull Wolves put a nail in the coffin of their Premiership hopes, 8 points off now, if they had got the goal then it would have left a slight hope, not now.

Just weeks after the Muamba collapse, an Italian Serie B player has collapsed and actually died. All Italian league matches are postponed. :(

Morosini dies on pitch

April 14, 2012

Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini has died after collapsing on the pitch in Saturday's Serie B match at Pescara, with the match abandoned after 31 minutes.

Morosini, 25, was rushed to hospital after medical staff attended to him on the pitch for a suspected heart attack, but died on arrival. The game was then called off with the other players leaving the field in tears.

"He suffered a cardiac arrest. Unfortunately he was already dead when the ambulance arrived. He never regained consciousness," announced Doctor De Blasi.

Italian media reports claimed that a police car had blocked the ambulance's way into the stadium.

"I don't know if the ambulance was late, but I know that the entrance onto the pitch was blocked by a vehicle,'' Iannascoli added. "Morosini collapsed, he tried to get back up but then collapsed again.''

The former Italy Under-21 international was on loan at Livorno from Serie A side Udinese.

As a result of the tragedy, all Serie A games have been called off this weekend.

The Lega Serie A said in a statement on their website: ''The football world mourns the tragedy that occurred this afternoon in Pescara, where during the game between the hosts and Livorno, the player Piermario Morosini slumped to the ground suffering from a heart attack. Transported to the hospital, the young midfielder was put into an induced coma, but died at around 1700.

''The FIGC has suspended, in memory of Piermario, all games scheduled over the weekend.''

Guess what? Another dive by Ashley Young. And another penalty for Man Utd.

Man Utd 1-0 Aston Villa - Rooney

Drogba's goal was incredible. I didn't know he could still do that. Remember that was on his left foot.

Hold up! Just as I write this the ref has given a goal that was nowhere near over the line, he had a clear view of it and although it was a big mess I don't see how he can say he saw it cross the line.

With 40mins and Spurs now 2-0 down, potential shit storm about goal line technology brewing again.

Perhaps the biggest ref howler this season. Chelsea given a goal during a scramble where Terry bowls through two defenders like a hockey player, and the ball doesn't come anywhere near the goal-line.

:edit: ^what dat guy said

You can't play advantage for a penalty, no matter what happens, has the rule book been ripped up today?

Cech should be off and penalty awarded.

Cech should be off and penalty awarded.

I was wondering about that as well. For a moment I thought Bale might kick it wide on purpose to get the man advantage, though I don't see why the ruling on Cech should have anything to do with that...

Bale should've just put his hands up and claimed, not touched the ball, Cech would be off, they'd have a man advantage, penalty, and 35mins to play. Now they're 4-1 down.

Sluggish Arsenal defending, 1-0 to Wigan at the Emirates.

EDIT: 2-0! 8mins gone.

Wow.

2-1 Vermaelen, minutes after Al Habsi made one of the saves of the season.

It's a great game this, 20mins in.
