Looking forward to seeing Suarez's hat trick on MOTD tonight. Cant believe Newcastle got thrashed by Wigan. The thought of Marin and Mata playing together must be a mouthwatering prospect for a Chelsea fan

Congrats Angie :wink3:

See you in about 20 years time probably when "Fratton" FC rise up though the ranks of the football pyramid starting at the Isthmian league. Baring a miracle Portsmouth are finished, will most likely fold within the next few months.

Awesome hat-trick by Suarez today! I love that man, hope he's playing when I see Liverpool on July!

Oh wow! How good is it to have Southampton back in the top division? Can't believe it's been 7 years. They were too big a club to go down in the first place I felt. Would love to see Leeds back up next year just so rivalries can be resumed.

And what about Suarez's hattrick? As good a hattrick as you'll ever see in your life. That 45 yarder was a beauty.

Congrats Angie :wink3:

I felt the same a few years back but we finally got a decent owner who was committed to bringing the club back so hang in there.

good to see the saints back in the prem...

great too see team hughes getting hammerd... I cant express enough still how much i dislike this guy,,,,

Results:

Chelski 6-1 QPR

Tottenham 2-0 Blackburn

Rovers on the brink of relegation and with QPR's tough remaining games they are too, although they remain just outside the relegation zone on GD

Roy Hodgson in a meeting tomorrow about the England job, quite surprising.

There would have been a good price. I am surpriased no one has mentioned or approached Pardrew

Its time for an upraising against the FA they are a total disaster in every area of the game.

What do you think of Podolski @ Arsenal?

Wow, you're the first I've heard this from. He's a great player, but I'm not sure how he'll fit in with Van Persie. Podolski typically plays as a #9, so Persie may have to play underneath him :edit: nm, not sure why I'd assume they'd be on the pitch at the same time. He'd make a great super-sub.

I see Podolski as something like a Wondolowski (mls reference no one gets), where he's the essentially the only player on a very average team that can score goals, so his stats get inflated by the sheer fact that the whole attack is directed at him. I don't think he'll necessarily be a flop, but I expect him to score less often than some expect.

I see why they're picking up another central striker, but they better pick up some decent wing-backs before next season.

Hodgson to England? Why? Did Redknapp, as Lawrenson suggested, eventually say no to the possibility of being England boss?

I doubt Hodgson's ability to manage and handle players as big and as troublesome as someone like John Terry. Secondly he has no technical mind at all and his tactics are fairly primitive so the idea that he is some sort of man to start a new era of English football seems laughable.

what about Hogdoson having to work with Steven Gerrard.. I am sure they got on like a house on fire at liverpool.

I think the posters in this thread could do a better job than the FA with our eyes closed.

Its a te derby of all derbies tonight...

I think they bought Podolski to replace RvP.

Probably wishful thinking on your part.

Think Podolski was brought into accomodate Van Persie in the team. First moves by Wenger possibly in a change of transfer policy.

Mancini and Fergie just went nose-to-strawberry on the touchline.

City played better and deserved to win, Fergie got it all wrong, they went out with the wrong attitude, playing for a draw.

Fucking hell, Mancini just said AGAIN that City have 'no chance' of winning the league, the journalist interviewing him clearly felt like he was being trolled. I just hate pretentious shits like him, you can see how he always, ALWAYS reacts oppositely to how you'd expect him to answer, fuck knows why.

Finally finished watching it. United didn't press enough when they had counter-attack breaks in the first half. Valencia or a striker should've been in for Park. City were the better squad despite the lack of fireworks throughout.

silly billy.

The title is still UTDS to lose... we will be asking a lot to go to Newcastle and ask for another win..

I am proud we did the double and have more points than ever... 83 of them..

I think the FA handled it all well for once. Hodgson is a better choice than both Redknapp and Pardew in a number of ways. I have no interest in the England team but it will be interesting to see how they do. Big game against Fulham tonight, places up for grabs in the final on saturday and a good chance to leapfrog everton.

they might as well put daffy duck in charge of england for the next 3 years... there is no chance of winning or making progess in anything...

Fulham with their first Anfield win off an own goal. Suarez and Gerrard were resting, but Liverpool were amazingly awful even by low standards.

I would have been happy with Stuart Pearce in charge. Thing is, when you get to a major championships for me confidence gets better results than tactics. We know how passionate Psycho was from the Euros 1996. Hodgson just looks a dreary soul. Will that rub off on the squad? Who knows but if Hodgson doesn't get England to the semis at least, the knives will be out long before his 4 year contract is up! Wonder what the odds would be of Redknapp taking charge of England for the Brazil 2014 qualifiers is.

Cisse with a disgusting goal. Receives a pass at the edge of the box, pops it up a foot, and seamlessly volleys it in the corner.
