lol

So in MLS, Rafa Marquez, captain of the mexican national team and all-around douche-canoe breaks a player's clavicle on a blatant kick-out that went unnoticed during the play. The powers that be have not yet decided on the length of his suspension/ban etc.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckM7zFPXPJQ]Salinas takes boot from Marquez - YouTube[/ame]

I know this is an odd thing to take from that, but why did you call it a 'kick-out' and why does the video title say he took a 'boot', when actually he like tackled him to the ground?

But on a more positive note, I can now use the term douche canoe.

Because Marquez deliberately kicks the guy round the head right after they hit the ground. I didn't see it first time, but it's pretty clear.

Oh fuck! Haha that's pretty blatant.

Bayern Munich have just scored against Madrid! 1-0, Frank Ribery, 16mins in (I think)

Ribery looking for a pen early on, this tie might be feisty right up until the end of the 2nd leg

Mario Gomez couldn't tap the ball home, 6 yards out, open goal, smashed it over. Ramos' presence may have put him off a bit, but there's no excuse for it really, anyone who's read what I think of Gomez in the past will know that this horrible miss still doesn't surprise me.

After 3 missed chances, and a penalty appeal, Gomez finally scores. Messy finish actually, for what should've been a tap in. Great work from Lahm.

Thought Marcelo was gonna get send off. No studs, but completely stupid and cynical kick with the ball 5 yards away.

What I've written in the past is that his goal record is only amazing because he's the only frontman in a team of players who give incredible service to him, his movements fine, sometimes he'll put away a good shot from a half chance, but overall he's a donkey with no technique, I'd rather Peter Crouch as better then him. Great work on the right to get the ball in to him.

What happened there with Marcelo? My stream messed up at just the moment of the replay where it looked like he blatantly just kicked the guy.

EDIT: 'k

Yeah, I saw your comments from a couple weeks ago. I agree on some points, though I'd give him slightly more credit. His stats were just as impressive for Stuttgart before the move where he didn't have Robbery to set him up perfectly every-time. He was weak sauce tonight though. Even Olic might have made for a 3-1 finish.

Yeah, pretty much just a meaningless kick in midfield. I thought the reaction from the crowd and players would be enough to knock him out of the next match. Marcelo probably deserved it.

Yeah I was surprised when I saw he had a very good record for Stuttgart, you're right I am a bit harsh on him, but I also do rate Peter Crouch quite highly (And yes I did even before THAT goal).

Yeah he was brilliant at Stuttgart and they are nowhere near as good as Bayern.

He has got to the same amount of goals for Bayern as he did for Stuttgart 30 games quicker so the effect that Ribery, Robben and the rest of them have on his goalscoring shows

Beautiful ball through to Sanchez, should be 1-0. I think the absence of Pique should give Drogba a few more chances...but no worries for Barca if his touch stays the same. On a side note: Sanchez annoys me.

Now Fabregas should've scored after Messi tip-toes into the box. Possession stats are humiliating for Chelsea. About 75-25.

Chelsea 1-0 Barcelona (Drogba 45+2)

How ironic Drogba scores 2 minutes into "Drogba-time" as the UK commentator puts it

Drogba - you diving cheating waste of space!

UEFA... sort this out!
