General Chat: Setlist

Featured Replies

I know for you this may be the ideal setlist but eventually, there going to get tired of playing the same songs over and over agian. I say they keep the base of the album songs but switch around some songs and get rid of the techno GPASUYF and talk. I really think those two are a waste of time. They shoud play songs we havent heard in a long time. Warning Sign, Shiver, Spies, Moses and See you Soon. Even though Moses and See You Soon werent released on an album there still amazing songs and alot of people know them. That way they wot get tired of playing the same songs over and over again

Sean, you litterally took the words out of my mouth verbatim

Does anyone whos been to a show, know the actual set list?

Or am I in the wrong topic?

Just cos i'm seeing them on the 6th and want to tell me dad what to listen to so he doesnt look like a tit standing there not knowing the words to any of the songs :laugh3:

He's such a part timer

The setlist has been pretty much the same from show to show but of course can change at the drop of a hat. Check some dates in the live thread - the first page - you'll see what the setlist was for that particular show:wink:

That is absolutely fucking mental.

I really can't wait now :D

Thanks so much for that :)

I just keep hoping that they play Life in Technicolor ii

Roadie 42 keeps saying they play it in soundcheck.

how amazing would it be if when the concert starts and LIT starts playing.. Chris begins singing

i think i would just die.

^I'd sing along with him, the parts I know already at least:laugh3:

Has "Yes" been performed on tour?

I'm going to see Coldplay when they perform in Anaheim next week, and I was just wondering if anyone knows if "Yes" is on their set list. Or if anyone's been to a concert where they played it...?

Yes

But it's not on their current setlist

i want them to bring it back in case they hit up my area just one more time before ending the tour... i wanna hear it live SO BAD

wow really??

it was the first one that left me kinda speechless (in a good way lol) off vlv... it just sounds so different, and its nice to hear chris's voice all low and sexy :P

they played for about the first half of their tour, but for the past month they've switched over to chinese sleep chant. They might get bored of it soon and switch back, but jonny seems to be having more fun rocking out to the solo.

Yes was played at almost every show during the first north american leg, after which it was replaced (although the order was shuffled around a bit) with Cemeteries of London.

Hmmmm-- dream setlist..... this should be interesting:

So there you have it, a bit longer than what they have been usually doing on this tour, but for me at least, that would literately be the BEST 2 hours ever.

P.S.- I was serious about I Ran Away :)

yeah chinese sleep chant seems to be a favorite of theirs... they have a lot of fun playing it =]

im totally with you with I Ran Away... its one of my top 5 favorite cp songs ever. idk if ii'd make it through the whole thing if they actually did play it, i might pass out of excitement :laugh3:

just my 2 cents..... i think when they are back home for xmas they will do the regular beginning of LIT and then.... WHAMMMOOOO, the slinky black nightgown rises and they continue with the extended version. i mean come on, it's only fair the home Country gets LIT II in concert first

IMAGINE?!

omg those people would be very VERY lucky

w00t, houston got the full set list! we had a double encore, the crowd was insane, we were screaming and clapping and just plain going wild for about five minutes after they ended the first encore.

I love Chinese Sleep Chant. Probably my fav on VLV.

As for Yes, it as probably my least fav on the album, until I heard it live. It was UNBELIEVABLE. They extedned the ending a bit into an all-out jam. Brillaint!
