Single releases from Viva La Vida

Featured Replies

Even though I think the album is great, I don't see that many 'singles' from it. List 4 singles you think they should go with for this album.

1. Viva La Vida

2. Violet Hill

3. Lost!

4. Strawberry Swing

1. violet hill

2. viva la vida

3. cemeteries of london

4. lovers in japan

I'm gonna be different at leave out Violet Hill...

1. Viva La Vida

2. Lovers in Japan

3. Strawberry Swing

4. 42

1. Violet Hill

2. Viva La Vida

3. Lovers In Japan

4. Lost!

Ah!! I wish you wouldn't! :o

:laugh3:

I think:

Violet Hill - The first single

Viva La Vida - it's doing better than Violet Hill...#1 in UK, US and AUS

Lost! - It is already successful on Itunes top 100 in UK, US(releasing it 3rd will do better than what Lovers would)

Lovers in Japan - i dont see this song doing well as the title wont make sense to listeners, release it 4th

Cemeteries of London - 5th single because the album is doing so well

Easy for me:

Viva La Vida

Lost (it was their first song written after the last album, and it has that coldplay anthem feel)

Lovers in Japan

I would like Death and All his friends as a single, (what a great song and it would be ironic that both title songs get released as singles)

but ... Violet Hill was a decent single, but I would go w/ Life in Technicolor w/ words of course or 42 for the fourth.

I'm gonna say there will be no more singles released, and instead a standalone EP

I'm pretty sure that Lost! is going to be released as a single. :smug:

1. Violet Hill

2. Lovers in Japan

3. Lost!

4. Yes

Coldplay would be stupid if they were to release Lost! after Lovers In Japan..Lost has made it to #55 without even being chosen to be a single.

Violet Hill

Cemeteries of London

Viva La Vida

Lovers In Japan

1. Violet Hill

2. Viva la Vida

3.Famous Old Painters:sneaky:

4.Lovers in Japan

Way to go, NeSs1776. I was wondering if anybody remembered how Coldplay said they would release non-album singles.

I expect/hope for the band to release at least one single that didn't land on the album... unless "The Goldrush" already fills that qualification.

Anyway:

1. Viva La Vida

2. Violet Hill

3. Lost!

4. Lovers In Japan (worst on the album IMO with "Reign Of Love", but still sounds more like a single than anything else left)

"Life In Technicolor" with lyrics would be a very cool single, but that's expecting a lot.

a lot of the songs just dont really fit as singles. so because of this id chosen...

1.violet hill

2. viva la vida

3. lovers in japan

4. cemeteries of london

and then maybe another one between Death and all his friends and 42

1.Violet Hill

2.Viva La Vida

3.Lovers In Japan

4.Lost!

...

5.42 (hopefully...it would be great!)

I don't want lost as a single, I think they should put Cemeteries Of London out instead or at least 42
