Ever been to Coldplay concert solo?

Featured Replies

i had no chance to see Coldplay live... but in the near years, i think i will get the chance to be crazy in their concert :D

I'll be going to see coldplay for the first time in december, and I'll also be alone. I have been to loads of concerts on my own as none of my friends or relations have the same taste in music as I do. I really enjoy going alone, you can go were you want and do what you want without having anyone to worry about. Some people think its weird, but there is no way I'd miss out on seeing my fave band just for something silly like going alone and worrying what other people think!!!

For some concerts, I prefer alone!(such as Coldplay), so I may be totally engrossed in the show and feed my obsession:sneaky:

One show I attended with my husband was a disaster...hubby had one toooo many beers and completely F***ed up the show for me, and we were 8 rows from the stage to boot!

I spent most the show trying to take pics(which was to have been his job) and the rest the time either elbowing him or kicking his shin, just to force him to SIT DOWN/SHUT UP!!!

Grrr....def. grounds for divorce:veryangry2:

He knew better than to even begin to ASK if he was going along this trip, lol

I've never gone alone, but I was ready to do that for this tour. In the end I got 2 tickets though and I'm taking my cousin with me. He's not into Coldplay though but I'm going to make him love Coldplay. :P

Saw them in Anaheim in 06 solo, and seeing them at the Forum on the 14th solo too. Can only afford one ticket, and lots of the good pair tickets were taken so I got a single in a decent spot. Lots of fun, I don't have to worry about keeping track of a friend or arguing over anything. It's all about me and the thousands of other die hard Coldplay fans in the building.

When I saw Coldplay in Dallas back in 2005, I got split up from the two friends I was with so I kinda felt like I was alone?? It was still freaking awesome! =D

I'm at Vegas on my own, so I hope it'll be alright.

I've never been alone but honestly, I'm going with three other people in October and one of my ... friends ... almost ruined Rockefeller Center for me last week. She couldn't "see that well" so she wanted to just take her pictures so she could claim she was there and leave during the middle. Every few minutes she would say something like, "Wanna leave?" My other friend (who isn't any bigger of a fan) and I just kept ignoring her until we couldn't anymore. We were actually walking out when I spotted something I could stand on, hopped on it, and stayed there. (She of course, realizing what a much better view it was, did the same.) That's when Chris jumped off the stage and ran over to where we were. After that she was all "Ooo.. I'm SO glad we didn't leave." :dozey: Now of course, she's coming with me to the concert in October (long story.) I'm always up for recruiting new fans, but she almost makes me wish I never invited her to Rockefeller Center!

Long story short, maybe alone isn't so bad.

I haven't even been to one yet :uhoh:

I've been both with friends and solo. Going alone wasn't bad at all for me.(and I'm kind of shy.) I had floor tickets for X&Y and was near a bunch of really great fellow fans.

When the song Talk came up one of them started passing out cheesy cardboard 3-D glasses and our whole section was wearing them by the time the song got rolling.

I ended up having a blast.

Yes! I did this on July 30, 2008, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto! Originally, I didn't want to go to the show because Coldplay was supposed to play in Toronto on October 29-30 and I wanted to focus more on my studying, since it will be my first year that I'm going to University. But a few days before the tickets went on sale, I learned that they will now play on July 30, 2008. This is because of a production delay and it affected almost all dates of the North American legs of the Viva la Vida Tour. My parents & my brother are not big Coldplay fans and I never even asked my friends if they liked Coldplay and if they would be interested to go with me to see them, so the best decision was, for me, to go see them alone. Apart from the long waits for the opening act and Coldplay, it was a lot of fun.:D

I dont see the big deal. i've been to tons of concerts alone. When I get there i'm only focusing on the concert anyway. I fi went with someone else the only time i'd talk to them is going to the show and waiting for the concert to actually start.

^^ Yikes lol :laugh3:

I was almost gonna go to the August 4 Show at Bostons TD Banknorth Garden alone, my best friend who i had orginaly planed to go with couldnt make it, but one of my close cousins turned out to be a Coldplay fan. so i am going with him. Hopefully by the end of the show i (and everyone sitting around us) will have turned him into a full blown COLDPLAYER! And i would imagine that going to a Coldplay concert alone would be a GREAT expierence to meet fellow coldplay fans!

i've been to 3 alone... no problems here. As soon as the lights go off...i wouldn't talk to anyone i was with next to me anyways.. its just coldplay and i

Not sure if you've been to that concert yet alone...

I just went to the Montreal gig solo. I'm a really shy person, I generally hate going places alone, but I had a super fantastic time. I had a floor seat (I was initially in the stands but my friend couldn't make it so I took her ticket), and it couldn't have been better!

Remember, you're not alone, you're with thousands of other people at one mega party :D

Actually, the best Coldplay concerts I've been to I went by myself. 1 MSG and 1 Nassau. The one time I took a friend, she didn't even like it that much which just kinda made me mad.

Pros:

You can act as kooky as you want w/o worrying when you are by yourself.

You can get better seats.
