Q. Oooh dear Oracle! can you tell me which songs are the best to make the love with my boyfriend and made it unforgiven? Thanks

The Oracle replies:

You mean unforgettable rather than unforgiven...

I'm not entirely sure it's appropriate to recommend any songs, as that's a very intimate, personal part of your life. I can think of plenty but think it may be best for you to find your own!

That's quite a waste...

Since she cannot give an answer, why choose this question at the first place?

Oh Debs...

  • I can't give you the reasonings on why things changed, but I can give you an update from what I observed. The Oracle was run by Debs Wild. Debs is still with the band and helps out fans, for exam

Q. Dear, my lovely Oracle.

I read that it took a month for Chris Martin to learn how to sang backward for The Scientist video.

So here's my question. What does the "backward" means?

Well, my sister and I has been argue about these for a few days and its start to annoying me.

She said that Chris only need to read the syllable backward when I said he need to read the lyric backward for every single letter.

Example: no-bo-dy = dy-bo-no (her opinion)

n-o-b-o-d-y = y-d-o-b-o-n (mine)

Which one of us is right and please give the explanation also cos we both really need to know before we start to kill each other because of this.

Huge thanks and love for you.

Salam

The Oracle replies:

You're right. When you say/sing anything backwards it has to be letter by letter not syllable by syllable. When you play the reversed version backwards it has to sound as the forward version does. That would only work if the letters were reversed.

i remember chris once said that the scientist backwards sounds like a latvian song, and funny as it may seem, it DOES sound latvian, me and my friends could actually make out some words.

He also said it sounded like Sigur Ros (which is beautiful by the way!)

A few days ago the Oracle replied me and it wished me a happy birthday!:dance:

Q. Hi Oracle!:)

The 5th of June is my birthday (15 years old!). Could you answer my question and wish me a happy birthday as my present? That would make me feel very happy!:) My question: I found a video where Chris sings the part of Human - Are we human or are we dancer? Because I'm on my knees looking for the answer- during Viva la Vida.

Why did he do that? Is he a Killers fan? Because he seemed know very well the song of All These Things That I've Done at War Child concert! =)

Thanx! Ana <3<3

The Oracle replies:

Happy 15th Birthday! Yes Coldplay are fans of The Killers. Chris often pays homage to other artists by including their lyrics in Coldplay songs during live shows. The War Child gig however was different because that wasn't as impromptu collaboration. They rehearsed the song beforehand.

Happy belated birthday. :)

Q. Dear all-knowing Oracle

I heard a rumor that The Scientist by Coldplay (obviously) was going to be on the New Moon soundtrack. Is this true?

Peace, luv,

Julie <3

The Oracle replies:

It's very likely that a Coldplay song will end up on the soundtrack to the Twilight sequel given that Stephenie Meyer has credited Coldplay, amongst others, on the inner sleeve for "being instrumental in staving off the writer's block".

Q. During the live version of Clocks on LEFTRIGHTLEFTRIGHTLEFT, Chris is heard repeating a phrase over and over after the verse "nothing else compares". Can you tell us what he is singing?

The Oracle replies:

"Home, home, where I wanted to go".

Q. Dear Oracle

I just found out that the Lovers in Japan video will be shown for the first time tonight on German TV. Will only the video be released or will it also be released as a single?

Kind regards

Stefan

The Oracle replies:

Back in November we showed the video here so it would seem there's no specific reason that German TV is airing it tonight.

They are probably airing that video at 'NEU BEI VIVA' because I somehow have the feeling that they might release this song to radio as a new 'single'.

'LIJ' has been suggested as a new song at my local radio station's chart show but couldn't enter the charts yet.

I thought he's counting in Spanish "uno, dos, tres, cuatro...", because it was recorded in Barcelona.

Bad Oracle, bad!

If the scientist is on the twilight new moon soundtrack.... i think i might die of anger. Becuase everyone is gonna be like OMG I LOVE THIS SONG.... oh god please do not put it on there.

Ok, I'll admit I'm a huge fan of the books(I'm in touch with inner teen, OK? Don't judge me!:P) and though I thought the 1st movie was kinda meh, I am looking fwd to seeing the rest of them. But no f#$@!%g way am I ok with using The Scientist--NOW WAY!!!! That's like sacrilege or something:angry:. After this it'll be associated with the movie(as good/bad as it will be), and all the teeny boppers will be like "OMG this is Edward's song!":dozey: <puke> NOooooooo:bomb: (I don't mind if Fix You is used, it would work with the story, and I'm not so attached to it as with The Scientist. I know, kinda hypocritical, sue me. Just DON'T touch The Scientist! :whip:)

Marie, I'm right next to you with the death stare!!:veryangry2::angry:(there's no smiley to accurately describe it!)

Ok, don't Stone me, but what is the reasoning behind not wanting This song in the movie? I would think we would want more kids to come out of the closet and like Coldplay???

Hasn't Chris said, He wanted that geek on the playground not to be made fun of cause he liked Coldplay?? Or something like that. This movie with this song might just do this.

(Runs off avoiding the game of Stone Throwing):laugh3:
