How can you vote for Shiver? The Scientist is the best piece of music ever made!

because The scientist beat Warning sign :sneaky:

 

nah, not really ! because i think it's an overrated song and Shiver's much better ! but that's just me :)

Quarterfinal 3: Death and all his friends vs. Lost!

Death and all his friends has already defeated ‘Everything’s Not Lost’ and ‘Amsterdam’ in the tournament, making it officially coldplayer’s favorite album closer. Quite a feat in itself, but still this song hasn’t competed against a middle of the album classic of the likes of ‘yellow’ or clocks….until now.

Sporting a dense arrangement of handclaps and organs, lost! was a clear-cut sing-along single from first listen. Although both song’s hail from the same album they are difficult to compare (with DAAHF’s being a complex 42-esque three-part arrangement, and lost! having a very catchy and straightforward verse-chorus verse-chorus solo etc….form).

Because both songs are so new to the arena, this could be a squeaker or an all-out knockout. I suspect DAAHF’s has marginal odds, but predictions clearly mean very little in this tournament.

After crushing parachutes and spies in the past two rounds, Shiver is the only remaining song off of Coldplay’s premiere album. Overshadowed by the radio-popularity of hits yellow and trouble, shiver is surprisingly popular among fans and is not to be underestimated.

The Scientist, on the other hand is a clear heavyweight that fell on the #1 spot of a recent radio top 20 countdown.

Will Jonny Buckland’s signature parachutes guitar upset the globally renowned piano ballad? If so, I suspect it’s going to be really, really close.

You don't seem to have found out about this,

 

Coldplay released another album called "X & Y"

There was another song on that called "Twisted Logic" which closed the album.

not including a hidden track!

LOL. I took that into account. but til kingdom come and twisted logic were both eliminated in previous rounds (twisted beat til kingdom in the first round, so we can count the hidden track out). There's is some uncertainty though because twisted logic had a really tough draw losing to viva la vida...so unless DAAHF's makes the final we'll never know, but even if DAAHF's just wins this round, I don't think my comment would be that out of line.
